  13. OOOOH! Mom wants to put her face in your tummy! Mom just read a book, 'Adolphus Tips', That took place in Devon in 1943-44. Now she is going to the internet to see if any of it is based on history. A big area of coast line was evacuated so the Americans could practice landing on a beach, preparing for D Day! It takes place around Slapton Sands and there was a Hotel called Slapton Beach Hotel. She knows it is just a story, but her Dad was in England before he went to France. It is a small book but was very entertaining.
