The Lookout.

It has been quite hot* here lately so mum has been taking us for walks in the evenings when it is cooler.

I stand here on my vantage point and look across the fields to make sure there is no danger in the coming darkness.

I make sure I look in all directions.

Okay, that is enough of that. Lets go and get some supper.

*We know our US friends will consider our weather to be cool, but when our temperature reaches the low 70's, that is hot to us.

  3. Low 70s sounds absolutely perfect to us, couldn't ask for a better day! It gets very hot and very muggy in the summers here in southern Ontario, Canada, too, into the 90s, even can reach 100+ F with the humidex. But it's all relative and when you're not used to it, yep, low 70s would be hot. Your evening strolls look wonderful, actually.

    Happy Summer!

  13. Although it is hot here in Sidmouth there is a beautiful sea breeze that takes the edge off the heat. Early evening is lovely though ...

  22. Good morning Eric and Flynn,
We enjoyed the pictures taken at dusk on your property. Quite lovely indeed. Oh how we would enjoy 70 degrees. We do understand that 70 is hot for you though. What is the average summer temperature for you?
We are expecting 98 here today. In fact it will be above 95 each day this week.

Mom and I thank you for the answers about the horse blankets and the explanation of the phrases in our post today. We love learning new things

  33. Such a difference in how temps are perceived. It depends on what is normal to you. Anything else is too hot or too cold. It's 96 very humid degrees here today and we're sweltering. In winter we're freezing in temps others consider "warm."

  34. Eric you are so handsome silhouetted against the twilight sky!

  36. Here on the Northern Coast of CA, we feel the same way about the temperatures. 70 degrees is a very hot day.
