Mancat Monday.

Mum saw me intently watching under the bushes in the garden last week and thought I was waiting for mousies. When she saw me playing with something, she thought I had caught one. When she went outdoors, this is what she saw.

It was okay though because I had deaded it for her, not like the one I brought home for her before. That one was bigger than this one, but it looked the same and is probably a baby grass snake and not a poisonous viper.
It was fun to play with though.

  1. Flynn, Mom, Dad and I are very very impressed at your hunting skills. Good for you not taking it home to Mom.

Mom and Dad took a road trip Sunday so Mom didn't get to your Sunday blog on Sunday but we saw it today. Easy Like Sunday indeed Sunday is one of our favorite days,

  2. Oh, a snake, what fun that looks to be! We've never seen a snake, actually. Our human feel sorry for the poor little snake, having lost its life, but hey, hunting is what we're supposed to do. And you excel at it, Flynn!

  4. I do want you boys to be ABSOLUTELY SURE you are dealing with harmless snakes when you do this kind of thing. My Mom's heart would have stopped if I had ever caught a snakey.

  5. Momma is freaking out over the snake. She has bad memories of a snake inside the house which she had to dedded. You both are such good hunters, we hope that you never have to rangle with a vicious snake.

  11. Did you eat it? If you didn't, at least you tried to do something with it.
My husband says Harley doesn't earn his keep. He gets my husbands attention that there's a bug in the house-doesn't that count?

  19. My crazy human actually LIKES snakes! She feels bad for the one Flynn caught. I've never seen a snake around here, which is probably a good thing because the majority of snakes in my part of the U.S. are rattlers!

  34. Good job Flynn. We love to kill snakes. Mom hates those things. Great work. That is a great video of you playing with that silly snake.
    Have a great day.

  35. It's probably not as much fun to play with once you 'deaded' it! There's just no challenge anymore and it doesn't wriggle.

Next time, leave it alive, at least until you've had some fun with it.

And you're a good boy for not bringing it home to Mom. I'm sure she would not have appreciated it.
