Mancat Monday.

Do you remember I told you I have started sleeping on Flynn's hairy blankie? Well I am still doing it. It is folded up on the side of the desk because Flynn likes to curl up in a little ball on it. I think mum should unfold it because I like to spread out.

I have decided I also like sleeping in the Ham-Mick which is Flynn's other favourite nap spot.

Usually I only ever sleep on the Bean's bed or on the recliner. I wonder if Flynn has any other favourite nap spots I can claim for myself.
Yesterday some of you thought my eye looked a bit swollen and closed. It's not, so mum checked the photos and it looks like my fur is a bit ruffled under my eye making it look not properly open. It is looking better every day but I have to try very hard not to scratch at it. I heard mum say something about a cone if I don't leave it alone. What's a cone anyway? Can I eat it?

  1. You probably can't eat that kind of cone...but ask for ice cream anyways!

  3. I don't think you can eat that type of cone, but I agree with Brian, ask for the ice cream.

  4. Eric, I think you are just trying to get a rise out of Flynn by sleeping in his spots.

  5. Eeek! Cones are BAD news! Better leave that owie alone.

How wicked to steal Flynn's fave snooze spots. Real cat humour.

  6. Are you truing to take over all of Flynn's places?

  7. It's a good thing you and Flynn are such good buddies, Eric - any other cat might give you a shiner under your other eye for taking all his favorite sleeping spots!

As for the cone... you don't want one!

  8. Trust us...the cone is Bad.

Scouty is in awe that you can selectively yak up feathers after eating a birdy. He's gonna work on that skill next.

  9. You can't sleep in all of his favorite spots at the same time Eric. So Flynn should be able to find some place to snooze.

  15. Psst... Flynn.. maybe you should come here. That'll show Eric! Then he'll wanna come here to snooze too! (that is Rumblemum's idea of a clever trap you guys *sigh*)

  16. Haha! Eric, we like how you are taking over all of Flynn's napping spots!!! And you may want to stop scratching your owie...a cone is not something you will want!!

  17. Wow! We can see our blog on your computer screen!

We're glad that your eye is feeling better, but if a cone is anything like the lampshade they make Shen wear sometimes, then it won't be fun at all. So leave your eye alone!

We like to swap each other's favourite napping spots too.

  18. Oh No ! The cone! The dreaded cone! Try very hard not to scratch! Cones are miserable. And they take up so much room. You won't be able to enjoy your newly found nap spots. By the way, your mum's computer desk looks custom cut to your contours. Very cute.

  19. Does your mum tickle your tummy and give it kisses when you lay in front of the monitor? If not our mum says can she come over and do it please.

We were just like the Meezers and thought about an ice cream cone...now if it's that kinda cone we'd agree you'd like it. We hope you don't need the other kinda cone...

Those look like great napping spots. We bet that Flynn is gonna keep his other spots secret!

    :-)

  27. Eric and Flynn,
Mom here...our first kitty Milky-Way always slept at the foot of our bed.
He would follow us into the bedroom take his spot and go to sleep. Often in the morning he was gone but we never heard a peep out of him....
imagine our surprise when Madi came to live with us. Yep I know I should not compare kitties but she is 360 degrees different from MW.
    Mom...shhhh don't tell Madi I wrote w/o her.

  28. I think this is a case of "the grass is always greener on the other side" -- meaning what belongs to someone else always seems better somehow.

At least Flynn doesn't seem to mind sharing with you, Eric. What a good brother!

  29. Glad your ouchie is doing better each day.

Good thing he doesn't mind sharing his things and sleeping spots with you. :)

  30. It's fun seeking out new nap places. We think you need your very own hairy blankie.
NO CONES! Scooby has been good and hasn't been licking his would or he'd have to get one too.

  31. oh no...not the cone! We have one in the closet that is blue and soft material and mewms calls it a party dress, but that doesn't fool those of us who have had to put it on, not one bit!
