Mancat Monday

Eric: Come on Flynn, time to go back.

I think I will just have one last roll before I go back into the garden.

Flynn: Come on Eric, mum's waiting to shut the gate.

Sheesh! I always seem to be running around after you Eric.

We have been asked how mum is doing. She is doing well. She had an infection where the drain had been taken out of the wound site and has been on a 10 day course of strong antibiotics and it has nearly gone now and she is healing well. She goes back to the gynaecologist in 3 weeks time for a check up and then again in 3 months time. She is allowed to start walking for a maximum of 10 minutes, so dad has put a patio chair in the nearest field so she walks 5 minutes to there and sits down and watches while dad takes us for a walk and then we all walk back together. She received the letter from the hospital a couple of days ago confirming the phone call that had told her that no more cancer cells had been found. She said it was very good to see it in black and white because she kept being silly and thinking that someone would ring up and say the phone call was a mistake.
