I'm Home!

I've had a terrible day! Actually it started last night when my supper was picked up. I always leave some to eat in the night but mum took it away. This morning I was starving but mum still wouldn't feed me. Then dad stuffed me in the PTU and they put me in the box with wheels and took me to the V E T. I can't remember what happened next, I just know I got all tired. When I woke up though I could see someone had stolen my neck and leg furrs, and not only that, my nails had been clipped! I have never had them clipped before because I use them for tree climbing. I hope they grow back soon. Mum said I had one tooth out. Although it didn't look bad, the enzymes had destroyed the root from the inside and it was very loose and painful (FORL). I have got gingivitis and had my other teeth scaled. The vet said she thinks the gingivitis will settle down now the tartar is gone. Mum had to keep phoning because I took a long time to wake up enough to go home. I still managed to yowl for all the 30 minute journey home though the same as I did on the way there.
Mum said Eric had really missed me and kept looking for me, but she lied! He keeps hissing at me. I am supposed to be the hissy one.
You will have to excuse me now. I have an awful hangover and need to sleep it off, and I never even OD'd on nip to cause it. Thank you for all the purrs for me.

  1. Dear Flynn we are glad to hear that you are home safe and sound! Good, also, to hear you did not have any adverse reactions to anesthesia. Along with Eric, one of us here had a very bad reaction to the meds when teeth got cleaned....so we are much, much relieved to hear things went well for you.

Eric doesn't recognize you because you smell different. One of the hazards of visiting the vet :(

  16. Flynn, we're sorry we missed notice of this! We're sure glad it was "only" one tooth and that you're home safe and sound. Purrs for speedy healing! BTW, Derry growled and hissed all night at Nicki when he had his dental at the beginning of July. Things settled down the next day though--hope it's the same for you two!

  20. OHMYCod Flynn! Sounds like an event to milk for all it's worth. Here's what you do, everytime you is finished eating, if your mum is looking at you, (make sure she's looking at you) get all fainty and just flop right down! Scares the beejeebies outta the humans & you will be surprised at how much food they will toss at you!

You are a very handsome Mancatly Mancat & we are glad you are home & doing well.

    xoxo
