This is a pretty butterfly don't you think? Well take a good look because you won't see him again.
I saw him sitting in the grass so I put my paw on him to see what he would do.
He fluttered his wings but didn't fly away.
So I pounced on him.
Why won't you fly Mr Flutterby?
Good try but not quick enough for me.
I wonder what you taste like.
Why won't you move?
Well you are no fun.
You weren't even very tasty.

You are such a good hunter. I am sorry he was not very tasty.

ReplyDeleteno action.

ReplyDeleteWe're surprised he didn't taste good considering how colorful he was.
ReplyDeleteReally? He didn't taste good, Flynn? We were thinking he was nice and fruit-flavored with all those colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a total BUMMER!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that, Flynn. Maybe next time you can find a delicious mousie!

All that effort spent on an untasty butterfly Flynn - what a waste of your time. They ought to carry an untasty warning sign in future.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Lucky you, Flynn. Gracie never gets butterflys but she does get lots of buzzing bits of hornets and bees. And the occasional lizard and tree frog. srsly.
ReplyDeleteThat is one pretty butterfly. But good job getting it Flynn. That is one of our favorite things to do, to chase butterflies but we don't always get them. Hope all of you have a great day.

You'd think something that bright and colorful would be all tasty and spicy! Sigh. Well, maybe there'll be a mousie soon if you wait in the grass long enough!
ReplyDeleteI miaow like the Katnip Lounge gang = What a BUMMER !
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Flynn, that butterfly looked really tasty, what a disappointment for you. You eating the butterfly has saved another cat from being disappointed, so, you did good.
ReplyDeleteMungo
Hi Flynn! We were wondering if maybe it was sort of cherry flavored. Its'a shame how things like that, once you get to playing good with it, they just stop! We don't understand that at all.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I've never had one of those. Personally, I prefer moths. Very tasty!
ReplyDeleteI think he would have been more tasty if he had been simmering in the sun a bit longer, don't you?
ReplyDeleteThose wings must have felt terrible in your mouth but they sure were pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh no! You broke your toy...
ReplyDelete--Jasper
