Caturday Art - Boys in a Field.

I am taking part in the Caturday Art again this week. I made 2 versions of the same photo but didn't know which I liked the best. Let me know in the comments which you prefer. Click to enlarge.
I didn't use my favourite LunaPic for either this time, and tried different photo editors.

For this one I used Pho.To with the watercolour effect and a simple drop shadow frame.

For the second version I used Fotojet. I used 3 or 4 different effects which I made adjustments to. I can't remember exactly what I did, but used a vintage effect and paint overlay amongst others. Then I added a traditional frame.

Visit Athena for more Caturday Art.

  9. Both are lovely. We like the more natural appearing greens in the second but the boys look amazing in both. We're with Katie Isabella here, we love seeing Eric and Flynn again. We still think the photos and their stories would make marvelous books for early readers.

  16. I love the first one! I like sketches. I'd also love to see Flynn's face rather than his back.

  19. Hello Jackie,
I have been away from blogs now for several weeks and won't be able to come back again but I wanted to say Thank You again for all the smiles and good things you and the boys have brought into my life. I will always remember them and you and their Dad, too.

Your health continues to be in my prayers. Blessing upon you.

    Love,
    Lily

    1. Hello Lily,
I don't know if you will come back to see if I have replied but I hope so. Obviously I don't know the background of your not being able to visit anymore but thank you for all of the lovely comments you have left for us. I am glad our boys have brought happiness and smiles into your life.
Whatever your problems are I fear they must be serious and I send love, prayers and good thoughts to you.
      Love, Jackie

    2. Thank you, Jackie, for your reply. I did come back to see if maybe you had and was very glad for it.

I am okay but my life is changing and with the transition there will be some good things, like this blog, that I will lose, as well as some good things I will gain. So I am fine. But I do thank you very much for your love, prayers and good thoughts as new and different situations do bring "interesting times".

I wrote yesterday to say thank you so you would know for sure that I hadn't just "wandered off" and forgot to come back. : )

      You are loved,
      Lily

  20. WoWWIE! They are both so wonderful, it is hard to choose. I do think I like the ethereal water colour quality of the first one. But the subject matter (Eric and Flynn) what makes them spectacular!

  25. I love the second one! Your guys look gorgeous together!

  26. Oh, I like that one. I like how it leads you to look to the distance, to see what the boys are looking at.

  27. I like them both for different reasons, but my favorite would be the first one. The colors are brighter and the boys tend to 'pop' better. I also love the decorative edge on the first one!

  28. So beautiful both are! If it's being framed, we think we like the first one better, though the second one has great outdoor lighting.

  29. Both of these are masterpieces (then again, anything starring Angel Eric and Angel Flynn is!). I think my favorite might be the second one, as it is so sophisticated and makes this lovely memory look perfectly ready to hang on the wall.

  30. Those really make us smile. WWe love them both, but especially the dreamy look of the first one.

  31. The first one is my favorite. Flynn and Eric are such handsome boys - hard to go wrong with them!

P.S. sorry about your Pet Peeve yesterday, there was a little glitch with the publishing of part 10 of The Last Big Jolly - oops. It did accidentally get posted by mistake but we had to reschedule....

  35. Now it's really hard to pick a favourite as we love to see the boys out and about, kindred spirits for sure. But I have to say, the first one has the edge and the texture feels just right.

  36. We took a good look at both...but somehow petcretary likes real looks, so she picked number two. It just pops with life and vibrant colour!
