Dori and all the Adorapurr gang had suggested choosing a favourite post to honour cat dad Pete on his birthday on January 31st.We chose a very short post but it shows how he loved his fur family and how much they loved him. Pete died on November 20th 2021 and will always be sadly missed.
We only post on Fridays so I am publishing the link today.
And now for the flashback which was originally a Mancat Monday from March 2009.
Flynn: Come on mum, give Eric a shout. I'm waiting to go out.
Eric: Won't be a minute, I'm just checking this wheelbarrow out.
Flynn: Stop messing around Eric, we've got mousies to hunt.
Eric: Okay, I'm on my way.
Do you think there are any here Flynn?
Oh drat! There she is with the flashy box again.
Flynn: Just ignore it Eric, I think there is a mousie here.
Flynn: Yikes! What was that?
Flynn: Oh! It was Mr. Fezzunt. He made me jump and now the mousie has gone.
Flynn: I was not scared! If I was scared I would have floofed up all over, not just my tail. Well maybe my tail was a little bit scared. I'm going home!
The random photo this week is for the Stunning CK who chose 29.01.12 which is her Gotchaversary.
I can remember exactly what was happening here. I had just got a new laptop and Flynn jumped up. I don't know what he touched but the icons kept getting bigger and bigger as I watched until eventually four covered the whole screen. No matter what I tried I couldn't get them back to size, but thankfully when I rebooted everything was back as it should be.

Those sweet boys still bring so much joy and your art is fabulous. That was a good choice in honor of Dad Pete, we miss him.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to find it difficult to choose just one of Pete's posts... But a smile was brought back to my face when I read of what Flynn inadvertently did. I can see the computer screen now...
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of you and Flynn.
ReplyDeleteoh what a brave bird who came so close.... we love the tribute for your friend...
ReplyDeleteMr. Pete was a wonderful man, i'm only just now finding out how wonderful.

ReplyDeleteI loved dad Pete too and his kitties. Such a delightful and loving man.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your angels and now I've seen you too. Even better. Love what he did to your computer. Rebooting corrects so many things.

What a nice way to honor Pete. Flynn, your tail gave you away!
ReplyDeleteGreat memory post for Dad Pete.
ReplyDeleteWe like the artwork and thanks for the puzzles.
Though others would disagree, I think the pheasant would make a nice dinner!
ReplyDeleteI've heard more than one story about a cat stepping on a keyboard and messing up the computer!
ReplyDeleteGood that it reset with the reboot.
My office is upstairs in Sweetie's Apartment, and she doesn't jump up on anything, unless I've built a staircase out of boxes for her to get up, so my computer is safe!
Thanks for the art and puzzles...I'm off to play!
Love that Flynn decided to try out the new laptop (eeeek!).....cute photo AND loved your choice of blog to honor Dad Pete for his birthday. Everybody misses him like crazy.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Teddy too
Beautiful way to honor Pete.
ReplyDeleteOh, extra chunky yumminess of the boys this week! That floofy tail. Was that a pheasant/grouse?
That was a sweet idea to honor dad Pete.
ReplyDeleteOneof our kitties hopped on the computer once and turned everything onscreen 90 degrees. Since it was a laptop we could turn it sideways but not type. We made an emergency trip to the comoputer shop (luckily it was still open)n and they had to contact some other expert because they had never seen that either !
They were always such busy kitties!!!
ReplyDeleteTerrific shot of you and Flynn Jackie! And we always love the boys out hunting! I can't wait to do the puzzles. In my mind, I can see Nellie out hunting too, so I am sure they are romping through the fields together. You also picked a terrific post to celebrate Dad Pete! We hope you and Ivor have a marvellously Happy Weekend - Hugz Barb
ReplyDeleteOh my- such sweet kitties! Thanks for sharing photos and stories!
ReplyDeleteFlynn you were such a cutup on the computer. I like walking on Pop's laptop. So I guess there were no mousies.
ReplyDeleteThere SO many fun and excellent posts that Pete did for his furmily and for others too.
ReplyDeleteHis heart was SO big.
The post you chose is from just before I started blogging...
I met Pete and his cats on Catster way back in 2009, and I think it was still in a sort of functional mode at that time. Obviously Pete knew the writing was on the wall, so he had his blog up and running for quite a long while already.
That is a great flashback pic of you and Flynn...the art highlighted your keyboard!
Thanks for the puzzles, too.
I reckon those mousies and pheasants work together to foil your hunt! Still, a good walk is never a ruined walk and that mousie will be there another day for you.

We love the post you chose to remember Dad Pete by. And what fun things Eric and Flynn had in the fields. That pheasant was a big surprise!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful photos of the boys and the artwork this week turned out so lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of you and Flynn! Love all the art as always.
ReplyDeleteLovely tribute and post. I love your artwork.
ReplyDeleteYou chose a great post of Pete's. That was a sweet photo of so many kitties sitting on him. Cute flashback of the boys mousie hunting and I love the photo of you and Flynn. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad about Dad Pete, the photo you choose to honor him was purrfect.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is fantastic. MOL we are always messing up Mom's computer too.
Such splendid artwork this week.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's furry sad about Dad Pete.
What a lovely photo of you and Flynn. Lexy has done things like that to Mommy's work laptop, MOL! We miss Pete very much, and his kitties, too.
ReplyDeleteOur babies DO make computing a adventure. MANY times.
ReplyDeleteMom appreciated your instructions and tomorrow should show us the result (I hope)!!
Boys, you are an armful and wish I had been there to enjoy you both.
Awwwww! We LOVE the picture of Flynn on his Mum's lap! We think Flynn is the perfect laptop.
ReplyDeleteJackie, did you get my comment? Blogger says there was something wrong and I had to renew the page, but my tekst was gone...Anyway, we loved to see you, sweet Angels and we loved the artwork, especially with your mom and now we're on our way to do both puzzles. Pawkisses for a Happy and Healthy Week ahead๐พ๐ฝ๐
ReplyDeleteSo good to remember Pete. We hope he had a good birthday in Heaven. Laptops take up too many laps, in my opinion! Meow!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful tribute to Dad Pete. His passing was so, so sad. Both arty pieces are splendid, but Eric on the prowl is purrfect!
ReplyDeletethis was a great post, love the photo of you at the end. We sure miss Dad Pete. He was one truly special furiend, that's for sure.
