Eric: It is very mancatly to go out in the fields when it is nearly dark.
Flynn: I like to sit and listen for mousies getting ready for bed.
Eric: It is best to be prepared and get in the crouch purrsition early just in case.
Flynn: And if you listen, you will hear the fezzunts getting ready to fly up to their beds in the trees.
Eric: But the most impawtunt thing is to make sure you keep your mum safe in the dark by listening out for any strange noises.

Flynn was playing with his ferret. We bought it one year at Las Vegas airport. It was originally attached to a ball which rolled around the floor. Neither boys liked it so I took it off the ball and Flynn loved it after that.

Those were fun! I remember that silly ferret toy, it was pretty cute. The art sure is pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat protectors those boys!
ReplyDeleteYou were so faithful on your patrols.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to be prowling around in the dark when no one can see you!
ReplyDeleteThe boys had so many adventures out in the field!
ReplyDeleteyou are right, that is a mens-thing to go out in the night... we are fearless and brave and we don't scream when something makes noises in a bush ;O)
ReplyDeleteThat is one thing I do enjoy about sitting outside... the sounds. I don't go out much now as it is Winter.
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to see what you boys used to do on that amazing property. Bet you were great protectors ;)

How very mancatly indeed! Those wonderful Angel boys were the best protectors, weren't they? Oh, and fabulous artwork.
ReplyDeleteAww! fun photos as always always makes me smile heheh!
ReplyDeleteI liked the art versions too π
Have an artistictastic weekend π
Nice to have an escort when out at night - the boys were excellent guardians! Hilarious about the ferret - we bought one of those AT AN AIRPORT SHOP (!!) many years ago for Angel Sammy. He wouldn't touch it either until I whacked off the ball. In fact I still have that toy...it's in Teddy's toy basket under a million other things. Once in a while he digs it out to play with it.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
You were very mancatly and of course very brave to be patrolling in the dark!
ReplyDeleteWe like the art versions as well, especially the beauty + abstract filters!
Great ManCat memories. Thanks for the puzzles.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been really fun for them exploring in the dark.
ReplyDeleteThose boys had so much fun hunting.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely new to me. My first blog post was June 2009 so you know I'm loving this of my favorite Adventurers!!

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Jackie. ♥
Yes, I've seen the ferret-like toys, but never thought of one for the cats...will have to check them out when I'm at the pet store.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see your images of Angels Eric and Flynn out listening for mice, I wonder what Manny and CB would do if they found one!
I know what Sweetie would do; she was quite the rodent exterminator when outside.
Off to puzzle; thanks!
Awwww Lucy has a feret also and has oodles of fun with it

The boys look like they are glowing in the low light! It really makes their fur look glorious! Kozmo and I want to know...did they catch the pheasants? The art is wonderful and I can't wait to do the puzzles! They are going to be so much fun! We hope you have a gloriously happy week!
ReplyDeleteAwww, We had a ferret on a ball, too, but we also just ignored it. *She* never thought to take the ball off of the tailio...Hmmm, but she won't give it to us pups, cause we'll give it what for!
ReplyDeleteMommy bought that thing for Robin way back and Robin said she'd eat our gizzards if we didn't take it up immediately.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photos! Now I'm wondering what a mouse's bedtime routine is...
ReplyDeleteI so love your artwork. You always do such a beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteThey sure loved to hunt mousies. Cute flashback. Thank you for picking my date. That is a sweet photo of Flynn with his ferret. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteEven if my cats went outside, I don't think they'd be brave enough to venture out when it was nearly dark.
ReplyDeleteNight time patrol is always more fun. Plus you get the joy of a warm bed to come back to rather than a cool sofa, MOL
ReplyDeleteYou guys really do have the best spots to hunt. Great jigsaws too!

We bet Eric and Flynn saw some great stuff in the almost dark field. How funny that Flynn only liked the ferret when you removed the ball. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are some nighttime photos. Timber is the one of the three of us who LOVES to be out in the dark. Mom wonders what he is doing out there, but he doesn't seem to want to share:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Those are great nighttime photos and the art is lovely as always!
ReplyDeleteI remember that ferret toy wheb it was the rage. I never had one but I had a paper bag with a tail that rolled around. I wasn't thrilled with it. I just stared at it. Pretty art.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your boys. Always makes me smile. Hope Mom and Dad are doing well. Until next week...Jean
