Friday Flashback.

This week the flashback comes from June 2009 with photos taken from posts in 2007 and 2008. and is for International Box Day which was yesterday.

We were excited when we heard that Zoolatry were having International Box Day today cuz we both like boxes, duzn't everycat? We helped mum find all the photos on all her files so she could get our post ready in plenty of time. Then it nearly didn't happen when the compooter died, but mum looked through all her back up flash drives and we got the photos onto the laptop instead.

We've got a tattle tail about mum and the laptop before you look at our box photos. Mum usually uses the laptop on the sofa or at the table but because the PC isn't working, she put it on the compooter desk. She went to print something this morning and we heard her yell 'I DON'T BELIEVE IT!! NOW THE LAPTOP WON'T WORK!' Do you know what silly mum did? She pulled out the shelf with the PC keyboard and was typing on there, then she wondered why no words were coming up on the laptop. You would think she would learn after the first time wouldn't you, but oh no, she did it time and time again.
Anyway, that's enough of that. Here are our box pictures.

Flynn: Not long after we started blogging, Grr, Midnight and Cocoa had a competition and we won. Part of our purrize was this great box with shreddy paper in.

I love this box and I could smell my girlcat furrend Grr in it. It made the bestest bed.
I have even still got it now. When I sleep in it I dream of Grr.

Eric: I wanted to see what was so great about the box so I thought I would try it. I think it is a bit small for me.

Flynn: This is another good box but I don't have it any more.

It was very comfy though.

Eric: I seem to have a problem finding a box to fit me.

They all seem to have shrunk.

No, no success with this one either.

At last! A box I can move around in!

And another one. What do you mean, it's not a box? It's lovely and comfy with the washing in the bottom. If I close my eyes I can purrtend it is a box.

When I was younger and smaller I used to fit in all sorts of boxes.

Flynn: Bet you wouldn't fit in this box then.

This is a nice big box. It's where our Christmas tree lives when it's not Christmas.

Eric: You're right! It's big enough for two.

I am joining Athena, The Cat Goddess for Caturday Art.
I had to go back into an old USB to find the original photos and was sad to see several had deteriorated over time, some with a grey band on and some completely grey.I most likely also have them on a small USB somewhere so will have to check them.

For Eric I used Delaunay at 40%, then Rembrandt at 30%.

For Flynn I used Psychedelic at 55%, then Ceremony at 30%.

  2. Oh Angel Boys, the number of times I've tried to work on one computer (work) while typing on my home keyboard, or vice versa...well, it just doesn't bear thinking about!
I will NOT show this photos to Da Boyz, because we don't have any shredded paper, and they would be nutso crazy for some in a box, any box!
    Happy Box Day!

  5. What fun! All those boxes and isn't it great that no matter how LARGE we might get we make those smaller boxes fit (by magic!). Love these flashbacks and miss those boys every single day.

    Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)

  6. Those box photos are terrific! I don't think my angels ever had a box with shredded paper, that would have been SO comfy! The large Christmas tree boxes were always awesome too, double the fun when two can fit inside!

  13. What an EXCITING flashback! There is nothing better than a cat in a box than ERIC AND FLYNN in a box - TOGETHER!! Jo Jo swooned when she saw the 2 of them in the Christmas Tree box! Now she understands why Queen Nellie was so in ❤️love❤️ with those guys! (Purrsonally, I'd rather go on a mouse safari with them like Kozmo has). You are ALL AWESOME! Marvelous Marv

  14. We don't know what it is about boxes but all cats seem to love them. The boys had some great box shots, and they were lucky to have some cushy material in them to keep them comfy. Angel Lightning, from the time he was a young pup, was absolutely terrified of boxes of any sort or size. We had to have Ms. Ann of Zoolatry put him "in a box".

  17. We LOVED all the box pictures! From the large to the too small, they still fascinate us. But the "just right" ones are sure the best...

  18. Ha! I have done something like what your mum did, angel boys, only I was using the wrong mouse - never the keyboard! As for boxes, I was reminded of my first cat, Tungsten, who used to climb in the Christmas tree box, like you guys did...

  28. Those box photos are amazing. I love the Guinness one. I bet I wouldn't fit into that either, well, not without some photo-shopping. MOL
How wonderful to receive a scented box! I long for such delights, but do I get one? No!
    Have a wonderful week

  29. Lots of fun box pictures!! Love that shredded paper 'mattress'!
We had some of that in a box here when Minko was with us...he hopped right into the box, scuffed around in it and peed!!! OMC! And that was the end of that and no more shreddies for him, LOL!
