Then and Now.

Do you remember that oowie I had on my face when the Beans came home from their holidays in mid November? You can see it here by my nose. Sometimes I get the itchies and I dig and dig until my face is raw. I had another one above my eye but you can't really see it in this picture. When I get the itchies I have to be stuffed into the PTU and taken to the evil vet to get stabbed.

Look, it is all better and I don't dig it at all now. The injection usually works for three months, sometimes longer so I hope I don't have to go and get stabbed again for a while.

  10. We're glad your oowie is better, Eric. This happens to Ernie sometimes...he gets itchy from his allergies...and when it's really bad, he has to go to the v-e-t to get stabbed, too.

  25. Oh goodness! That is what happens with G.T. when his allergy shots don't work real well. He has to go get a shot from the v-e-t. He was getting those monthly! But then he got another test at the allergist and is on new serum, so we will hope that his shots from the v-e-t don't happen on a monthly basis anymore! Thank goodness yours last you for 3 months! And that you don't have to get allergy shots too!

  26. Glad they can fix that for you. And glad you are fixed for the moment. Lucky has to go have shots every couple of months too. Hope all of you have a wonderful day with no itchies.

  27. I think this problem is quite common amongst kitties (and humans for that matter).

My skin gets very dry and I scratch and scratch, sometimes until it bleeds.

Domino has that problem on her face, too.

I'm glad you have the proper medicine to prevent it from reoccurring, Eric!

  32. Oh Eric! You are so handsome! Nothing could ever make that beautiful, intelligent face look less than wonderful. Even though you have to go to the V-e-t, one needle stick has to feel better scratching an owie! We have a kitty brother that has to get a shot every 2-3 months or he looses clumps of hair! Actually, although he doesn't like his PTU, he likes all the attention he gets at the vets!!

  33. I get "the itchies" above my eye too and it usually means more prednisone.

Mom is afraid for them to give me that again because she is wondering if that is what caused my "poop backup!"

We will have to ask them about a shot like you had the next time it happens.

Glad you don't have "the itchies" anymore!
