Guess Who Came to Visit!

I had been working hard on the computer and was taking a nap. I thought I heard a jet fly overhead but knew I must be dreaming because the airport has been shut down for some time. Either that or it must be somebody very important who had special permission to land there. Anyway I wasn't going to let it interrupt my nap and went back to sleep. Then I had the strangest feeling I was being watched. I carefully opened my eyes just a fraction so I could see what was happening, and I saw..........

NELLIE!!!

I was so happy that she had made time in her busy schedule to come and pay me a visit.
I asked her if she would like to go for a walk around the fields with me and she said she would love to.

We walked along the trees where I usually have to leave my scent, but I didn't this time because I didn't want to embarrass her.
She asked if I could show her some mousies so I took her to where they live.

She said when she visited Ayla, Iza and Marley, they taught her the Come out and Play mousie song so she sang it to them. A mousie came out so I caught it and gave it to her. Then she said she was getting a bit tired from all the excitement so we went back to the garden.

When we got there I showed her Eric's memorial plaque and rose. We sat there talking about all our dear friends who have gone on to The Bridge and then we had a nap under the azaleas.
When we woke up she said she had a surprise for me. When she had visited The Katnip Lounge Kitties they had sent presents for me.

First of all she gave me a big tub full of nip which we shared. Wow! I think she is more of a nip head than me!

Then she gave me this huge psychedelic nip cookie. I think it may have been from Sweet Pea to show she didn't mind Nellie visiting me. That was some cookie! Those pigs on the curtain poles came flying by again and again until my head was spinning.

After that we collapsed on the bed for a good long nap. When I awoke a few hours later Nellie was gone. I thought at first that I had dreamed it or imagined it through a nip haze. Then I saw the crumbs left from the cookie and knew that Nellie really had been here.
