Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.
I have two posts from September 2009. The first is a short video of Flynn. The second post carries on from there.
The Mouse Hole.
There is nothing I like better than finding a nice mouse hole when I am out walking. I like to see if there is anybody home and reach in right up to my armpit. Mum says that one day there is going to be a big fat mousie waiting for me, and he will grab my paw and pull me right down into the hole. Hmm, maybe I'd better be a bit more careful.
Hard Work.
Eric: I told dad that Flynn had trouble digging his mousie out of the hole. It was only a small hole when he started, but he made it bigger. I said to dad we could help Flynn if he took the mini digger and dug the hole bigger still.
Come on dad, don't sit there relaxing. We've got work to do. Dad said maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea because Flynn might go all the way down Mr. Mousie's house and get lost.
Well I did try Flynn.
Flynn: Thanks Eric, I know you did. I will just have to keep digging on my own.
For Flynn I used Ceremony at 65%, then Surreal at 60%.

Animated Flynn! I've never seen the boys in action before. He looked like he was getting in some good practice for when the mouse showed himself.

You have to watch out for those mice, they certainly can be overpowering if they reach up and grab you. And then of course mom wouldn't want a giant hole in the backyard to step in and twist an ankle.

Eric, that was a good effort on trying to get your dad to help. I was thinking of Alice down the rabbit hole, though...You wouldn't have wanted Flynn lost down the mousie hole! :-)

Oh, my, how precious are those boys? Flynn, you're a brave boy to stick your paw down that mousie hole. Were you saying "Mom" around the 28 or so mark on your video? Good hearing Mom's voice! I'm vewy impwessed. I have never even seen a real mousie let alone hunted for one. I probably would be a vewy good mousie hunter. I'm brave and fast and curious... and pwetty. I could lure the mousie out by making flirty whiskers and then I'd grab him! Maybe I'll ask Santa Paws to bring me a mouse with it's own hole for Christmas. Love, Dori

Lol. That's a cute video. Cats can be very persistent! :-)
The digger would make the hole too big and you'd lose the mousie. Better to keep digging for yourself, plus it's good exercise.

I just LOVE seeing Flynn hunting in that mouse hole! Teddy does that with chipmunk holes and I laugh myself silly watching him hop around the hole. He's not as brave as Flynn was in sticking his arm down the hole - Ted wants the chipmunk to pop into his mouth on its' own! HAHAHA I am SOOO loving the flashbacks of the boys. Eric with Dad on the digger is priceless too!

The video wouldn't run for me, but I will say when you want something done, you best do it yourself.

Flynn did a great job trying to get that mousie! He could hear him running underground too. What a great mouser he was. Beau Beau had a mouse (probably vole) hole he used to monitor a lot. Love to see them doing what they are meant to do. XO
