This flashback comes from September 2009 and is called:
Climbing Trees.
Flynn: I am a good tree climber and I love to climb all trees. This is an old thorn tree and a lot of the branches are dead so I have to be careful. Eric is not a good tree climber, he usually watches me from the ground. When he does try to climb, mum says he is so awkward, he's like a camel coming back down.
Eric: It doesn't look so far up that tree now I am standing on the hedge. I wonder if I should try.
This isn't so hard, I think I will keep climbing.
Wow! Look how high I am. It looks dark up there with all the leaves and the ivy. I've had to turn my lasers on so I can see where I am going.
Hey Flynn! Look at me up here!
This is easy peasy! What do you mean Flynn, I need to go back? A dead branch? Okay I'm coming back.
It's a good job Flynn was watching, that branch could have broken and I would have crashed to the ground.
Flynn: I'm not taking my eyes off Eric until he's back down. I don't want him landing on my head.

For Eric I started with Fairy at 65%, then added Homer at 50%.
For Flynn it was Quirky at 70%, then Psychedelic at 50%.

It just never ceased to amaze me what incredible climbers those two were...no tree was too much of a challenge - no limb was too small to explore. They had the BEST time here and I'm certain they have explored every tree at The Bridge too!

Climbing is quite a skill. The one time I got out and climbed half way up a tree, I didn't know how to get back down and so I took a flying leap down, which almost gave #1 a heart attack. You were expert climbers!

Sometimes, looking at your photos ~ I really think Eric and Flynn had to be the happiest cats on the planet! Such freedom to climb trees and run in the fields, be mousers, play in barns (not to mention pots!) and yet cuddle in warm laps at night. Yes, blessed they were ... and you to have them.

what an exciting adventure! It's funny how some cats aren't keen on tree climbing. Odin used to be the best climber but less so as he's getting older. His old pal Domino used to try to follow but never got up higher than 6 feet!
