The grass in some of our fields is very long now, and as soon as we get several days of good weather, dad will make it into hay for the horses to eat in the winter. We like it when the grass is long because it is fun to play hide and seek in it. We like it after it is cut too because it is easy to find all the mousie holes. Yummy!

That's so cute, just seeing the flash of a red and white tail, or a little head rising above the green grass for an instant!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have the long grasses to play in. We just got our lawnmower fixed (finally) and now the grass in our back yard is short again. Our kitties liked it better long, like Eric and Flynn do.
I just adore seeing kitties enjoying nature -- the way it was meant to be.
If grass ever got that high around here, it would equal ticks, mosquitos, and ants. It gives me the creeps just looking at it!
