We went for our walk today and as soon as we got in the field we could see something had happened.
Flynn: Eric the grass isn't right. It's not long any more. How can we bounce around in it?
Eric: I don't know. Something strange has happened to it. I'm following a trail to see if I can find the long grass.
Eric: Nope, no sign of it.
Flynn: Well, we may as well lie down here for a while until we can work out what happened.
Eric: Yup, something's going on. I wonder if dad knows anything about it.
We'll let you know when we find out where our grass went.

This sounds like a case of crop circles without the circles. I understand in your part of the world that seems to be something that occurs every now and then. Perhaps you might wish to investigate...
ReplyDeleteI fink the big red tractor ate it all up, and spat it out so the horses will have something tasty.
ReplyDeleteI bet the mousies are nervous now.

Hmmmm, a mystery, we hope you can solve it! You can have our grass Eric and Flynn, it is getting a bit too long and Daddy isn't around this weekend to cut it ... and Momma says she isn't gonna do it because of the shoulder she broke. She gets a lot of mileage out of that injury ... hee hee!
ReplyDeletePurrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Oh noes! All that long, pretty grass for romping in is gone. Well, it sort of looks like it's still there only flattened! Very curious.
