Mum saw me intently watching under the bushes in the garden last week and thought I was waiting for mousies. When she saw me playing with something, she thought I had caught one. When she went outdoors, this is what she saw.
It was okay though because I had deaded it for her, not like the one I brought home for her before. That one was bigger than this one, but it looked the same and is probably a baby grass snake and not a poisonous viper.
It was fun to play with though.

Flynn, Mom, Dad and I are very very impressed at your hunting skills. Good for you not taking it home to Mom.
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad took a road trip Sunday so Mom didn't get to your Sunday blog on Sunday but we saw it today. Easy Like Sunday indeed Sunday is one of our favorite days,
madi and mom
Oh, a snake, what fun that looks to be! We've never seen a snake, actually. Our human feel sorry for the poor little snake, having lost its life, but hey, hunting is what we're supposed to do. And you excel at it, Flynn!
ReplyDeleteEek gads, I am glad you deaded it...it looks fierce even deaded!!!
ReplyDeleteI do want you boys to be ABSOLUTELY SURE you are dealing with harmless snakes when you do this kind of thing. My Mom's heart would have stopped if I had ever caught a snakey.
ReplyDeleteMomma is freaking out over the snake. She has bad memories of a snake inside the house which she had to dedded. You both are such good hunters, we hope that you never have to rangle with a vicious snake.

Abby
You are so brave to have deaded that snake!!!
ReplyDeleteWe've never seen one in our backyard, but I bet if there ever was one, my momma Ellie would take care of it, just like you did.
Purrrr...
Way to deaded that snake, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou sure are brave, I've never seen one of those but I know there have been some snakes in our back yard!
ReplyDeleteFlynnie flynster snake wrangler. We are soooo glad there are no snakes in NZ - they look scary my brave buddy.
ReplyDeleteDoood...I have to know... did it taste like chicken???
ReplyDeleteDid you eat it? If you didn't, at least you tried to do something with it.
ReplyDeleteMy husband says Harley doesn't earn his keep. He gets my husbands attention that there's a bug in the house-doesn't that count?
Whoa Flynn you are quite the deaded maker!! You leave us in awe!
ReplyDeleteFlynn you are a fierce & mighty hunter!
ReplyDeleteYou deaded it good! It looked like fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, you sure are brave to being playing with a snake like that.
ReplyDeleteI know those are fun but I do feel sorry for them!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmmm, snake. Tastes like chik-hen!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Where did you learn how to hunt vishus snakes like that!
ReplyDeleteMy crazy human actually LIKES snakes! She feels bad for the one Flynn caught. I've never seen a snake around here, which is probably a good thing because the majority of snakes in my part of the U.S. are rattlers!
ReplyDeleteFlynn, you are an impressive hunter, but we're glad it wasn't poisonous and we're sure your Mum was glad you killed it!...Our Mom had an outdoor kitty (Jax RIP, Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat's son) who was bit on the face by a snake and almost died=she wrote a post about it on his birthday, May 13...Take care sweet boy, we are so glad you are ok...kisses x3 beautiful boy friends...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteEEEKKK!!! SNAKE!!! You guys be careful, those things have pointy ends!!
ReplyDeleteFlynn you're such a rugged outdoorsmancat! Jack likes to find snakes too.

ReplyDeleteYou are the master hunter, Flynn!! Good job deading that snake! And it makes for a really fun toy!!
ReplyDeleteYou both are excellent hunters, definitely. But our the Mom got very swoony - in a bad way - seeing those pics.
ReplyDeleteWowie, you caught a SNAKE?! Very impressive! I hope you know how to tell the SAFE ones from the POISON ones!
ReplyDeleteCAN YOU HEAR MOMMY SCREAMING???? Well, we sure can!
ReplyDeleteBe careful with those snake things!!!
SNAKE?? oh my goodnessm Flynn--it doesn't look like a cobra or anything--but still be carful in your yard!!
ReplyDeleteNoir
PS. Gotta say, pretty impressive catch tho.... :)
Wow! A grass snake! You guys have all the fun.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness is was deaded else you'd have heard our mum screaming her head off. Anything without furs like frogs, toads, newts just make her freak!! Silly Mum.
ReplyDeleteWTG Flynn...the mighty hunter! We watched a cat try to catch a mouse outside our house the other night....he didn't succeed though. We told him to take some lessons from you :)
ReplyDeleteholy tuna, a snake!!!
ReplyDeleteFlynn, brave Flynn! wowwwwwww
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed here, you are so brave!
Wonderful work dear friend, mommy is protected with you around her!
I love your video, but please, take care for the next time okay!

Luna
Good job Flynn. We love to kill snakes. Mom hates those things. Great work. That is a great video of you playing with that silly snake.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
It's probably not as much fun to play with once you 'deaded' it! There's just no challenge anymore and it doesn't wriggle.
ReplyDeleteNext time, leave it alive, at least until you've had some fun with it.
And you're a good boy for not bringing it home to Mom. I'm sure she would not have appreciated it.
You know, we is kinda glad we are inside kitties cuz things like that scare us...but we sure like reading, and watching, your hunting adventures!
