We have had nearly a week of sunny weather so I like to lie on the shelf of our outdoor run and catch the rays. The run is only used for holidays but is left on the lawn the rest of the time so we can sunbathe on the shelf if we want to. It's a good place to show off my tummy.
Dad came over and rubbed his head against me. I think he is trying to make me smell like him.
Now I will have to have a bath and get my smell right.
Quick wash of the legs and that should do it.
Finished! Don't do that again dad, it's me who is supposed to put my smell on you, not the other way round.

What a great spot to soak up the rays, Eric.
ReplyDeleteWe do that too (especially Nicki) -- clean off the mom's stink right away! Sometimes she wonders why we even want scritches in the first place! :-D

That is some special sunny tummy!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe your male human was actually trying to get some of your fabulous scent on himself, without realizing that it's you who must bestow it! You know how humans are - they mean well, but don't always get things right.
ReplyDeletethis post was pawsitively purrfect! You look soooo upset that your Dad put his scent on you! I agree with Sparkle, I think your Dad was trying to get YOUR scent on HIM!
ReplyDeleteYour tummy looks just delightful in the sunlight!
Eric, I think you trained too well. Now he has a cat's behavior..MOL
ReplyDeleteYour tummy is so white kissable! You're lucky Dad didn't rub his face on that!

Oh my gosh, SUNSHINE TUMMY...I can hardly stand the snorgleness of it!!!
ReplyDeleteEric, that blindingly white tummy is spectacular! Our pawrents love to come and stink us up, too. It is weird.
ReplyDeleteHumans can be so frustrating sometimes! I am glad you are smelling like you again!
ReplyDeleteYou need a bigger shelf so Dad can join you to bask together in the sun!
ReplyDeleteExcellent tummy shot - soak that sun up if you can - wish I could join you,
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Genghis
Goodness!! What a tummy pic!! Our Mom, er, Caretaker said she'd snorgle it any day!!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky that you & Flynn get to go outside, Eric! (though truthfully, I don't think any of us would go outside if we could - we're kind of scaredy cats)
Have a great day!!
~Nico, Simon & JayJay :)
We had to put our sunglasses on to view that white tummy!
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect sun spot!
ReplyDeleteJust superb!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure he wasn't trying to get your smell on him?
ReplyDeleteDontcha hate it when the humans ruin your good smell?? Glad things are right again, Eric!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh...it's so GOOD enjoying the sunshine!

With that gorgeous tum, we don't blame your dad for claiming you with his scent glands!
ReplyDeleteEric..don't you just hate it when the humans get their smell on you. It requires lots of bathing after wards.
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi
Super pictures of you, Eric......you are one mighty handsome mancat.
ReplyDeleteYour dad must have forgotten???? Cuz we're sure he knows you're supposed to leave the smell and not him.
Love to all of you.
Sometimes we humans understand you want to mark us with your scent - and you kitties do a great job with that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sun!!!
Hey! Wishing all you cats and ‘beans great well-being and happiness! Please visit my blog about a colony of abandoned/feral cats near my home. There will be stories there as time goes on that could inspire and inform anyone you know who is helping or plans to help homeless cats anywhere.

ReplyDeleteCute tummy pics today! We wish we had smell-a-vision!
What a wonderful day - Dad AND sun puddles.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice ya have a safe outdoor place with lots of sun!
ReplyDeleteMOL! I wash myself right after I get petted too! I need to get back to smelling like me, not human bean smell.
ReplyDeleteAw Eric, we think your dad just wanted to chill with his best pal, not stink you up!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are soaking in that sunshine. Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou and dad look great together...very sweet.
ReplyDeleteAwesome tummy in sunbeams, handsome Eric!...Love the photo with your cool Dad!...Happy Mardi Gras, sweet friends!!...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteOh Eric dear, don't be upset with your dad. You're really lucky to have him. He was just trying to show his love for you in the same manner we cats do. Our mum gets down on the floor with us and rubs her head along our fur. We start to purr and purr and do the happy dance! We love it. Then we rub our faces against mum. She loves it! Dad also might have just rested his head to better admire your beautiful sun drenched tummy. Why don't you just give him a little kiss . It will make his day.
ReplyDeleteGuys, could you please send some sun our way? We're so tired of winter.
