Mum got her histology result today and unfortunately it was not good. She will have to go into hospital for an operation in 2-4 weeks time. We are both working hard looking after her and I am trying to make her and our dad smile by showing off my tummy. She has said she will help us post now and again but it won't be on a regular basis for the time being. She will help us to do some visiting but it won't be very much. Please keep us in your thoughts. She WILL beat the evil cancer.

Tummy Tuesday and update.

To your Mom: that is really rotten luck. Nobody ever wants to hear that they have cancer. Trust in your doctors and God and know that you really CAN beat it. ReplyDeleteMe and my mom don't know what stage your mom got but my mom's mother-in-law got 3 years ago but she is doing well by change the way she eat, Less Meat, Less Sugar, More Grain and Green and Plus a little exercise.
My mom said some people in her original country who got this evil cancer, They did the same ( Change the way to eat ) and some of them won ! The evil cancer just disappear !

We are sorry to hear the news is not good and want to do everything we can to fight evil evil evil cancer. Positive thinking is the best way to start. And then lots of tummy tickles and cuddle therapy. Our paws are very tightly crossed, and we hope you look after her. I saw Mr. Puddy's comment about diet also and had to respond.
ReplyDeleteI had a late stage cancer many years ago.
One of the first things my wonderful doctor told me, that if he was going to save my life, was for me to give up sugar.
Cancer feeds on sugar.
It was a small sacrifice to make.
To this day I do not eat any form of sugar, especially the artificial types, which are even worse.
Now that stevia is on the market, I can use sweetner again.

I beat the odds of Stage IV ovarian cancer, so know that numbers don't always mean anything! My 5-year date is 6/13/2011!!! I am cancer-free and healthy at 53. Boys, I'm really sorry your mom didn't get great news. I'm a 20 year survivor myself. Basically lost a year to surgery, radiation and chemo. It was awful but it worked. No reason it shouldn't work for your mom, too. You guys be sweet and funny and strong for your mom and dad.

Is gud to be strong when you is sick, and sometimes loved ones makes you want to pretend you're ok, so they are not so ascairt. But is necessary to has a place to let out the inevitable fear, frustration, and sadness too. Dis a healthy thing to do.
