When we went for one of our walks I decided I wanted to see if the badgers were home so I went down over the bank.
Mum was shouting to me but I just ignored her.
She was scrabbling down after me still shouting, but I just kept going. Then Flynn decided he was coming too.
I sat down to look in the undergrowth because I know that is where the baby badgers were playing in the summer.
I was watching so closely that I forgot about mum, and do you know what she did? She threw a big lump of mud at me to make me come back up!!!
I don't care though so I showed her my 'tocks to show her a bit of mud won't worry me.

Badgers are vishus! They have rows and rows of needle sharp teeth and long knife like claws!
ReplyDeleteStay away from them!
Gee Eric, we are sorry your Mom spoiled your fun, but we think she was worried about you. Bagers are not always nice! But mud flinging :o Yikes!!!!!!!!! Your Mom is serious ;) heehee
ReplyDeleteNow about your tocks...nice!!!
Oh yes!!! Very nice ;)
Purrs Tillie and Georgia
Nice tocks! How could she throw mud at you?? Disgraceful. What will the neighbor cats think?
ReplyDeleteOh you boys be careful, those badgers are nothing to mess with...and neith is Mom!
ReplyDeleteRumblemum says that even Eric TOCKS are cute!!!
ReplyDeleteSheesh, you boys like to live dangerously, don't you?
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing she didn't hit you with that mud!!
ReplyDeleteThat was brave of you to go after the badgers, but a teeny bit foolish too. I am glad you Mom was on watch and "encouraged" you away.
ReplyDeletethat's right! "Talk to the TOCKS!"
ReplyDeleteThe tocks of disrespect, indeed! Howefur, badgers are quite vishus. Best to listen to Mum on this one. Purrs.
ReplyDeleteShe threw MUD!?! Why, so she could punish ya after wif a bath too?
ReplyDeleteOn the other paw, badgers ARE dangerous...
Careful, there are lots of vishus animals out there, specially with babies! We had to laff at the mom throwing MUD! Guess there wasn't anything better, and four footed critters aren't the only vishus things around your home. You would have gotten a bath after the mud if you lived here. Our mom had a kitty who, when the mom did something she didn't like, would pooh in the middle of the living room. Just saying...
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Me loves that yous showed your Mum your 'tocs because yous were mad! Me will remember that the next time me does something where Mommy chases me!
ReplyDeleteKisses
Nellie
Oh...better be careful, those things are MEAN!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe your mom threw mud at you though, that is kind of funny. haha
Eric you are a very naughty boy!!!! Your mum was just looking out for you don't be too hard on her :-)
ReplyDeletePS - we love your Halloween background!!!
Eric you might need to not go looking for badgers and go off to far from home you could lose some of your roaming privileges. We would be sad if something happened to you. We think your mom was trying to keep you safe and she wanted you to come back to a safer place. The pictures are very nice. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to do it even when you know you should not!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting worried that you are going after these BadBoy Badgers. They are NASTY and you have to be careful. For once we are on your Mum's side - but we did like the 'tock photo in your reply to her!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have too many beasties in our backyard, just the rats that live in our trees.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun explorin.
Sorry, guys, but in this case we think your mom was right! Badgers are pretty scary, we here, and would make short work of you both. Best to listen to your mum, so you don't have your walking privileges taken away!
ReplyDeleteImpressive act of defiance, Eric!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you didn't get spattered in mud Eric especially with you looking so pristine. Your mum was only looking out for you though cos badgers are very bad tempered.
ReplyDeleteWe love your tocks of disrespect!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Mom was just trying to keep you from getting hurt. We sure don't want some darn badger hurting you two boys. Our Mom would have done the same thing. One time a long long time ago, Mom saw a rattle snake and she ran around grabbing everyone and shutting us all up. It was scary. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh your poor mum's nerves! Besides being vishus, badgers will fight to the death to protect their young. Better mud than blood! You boys were very naughty! And you put your mum at risk too! Shame!
ReplyDeleteInstead of 'tocks -and they are cute 'tocks, by the way- you shoul be showering your mum with your finest kisses and cuddles!
We are overjoyed that you did NOT find badgers!
Yikes! We've heard badgers are mean - you boys be careful! Nice 'tocks pic though. Very fuzzy! :)
ReplyDeleteHow's a cat to do a proper job of ignoring someone if they get mud thrown at the? Geez Louise!! But, as everyone is saying, your human just loves you and does not need you to get into any trouble with badgers!!
ReplyDeleteYou are NOT gonna believe this but Mommy says your Mum needs a whistle or *gasp* a SQUIRT bottle! Better than a dirt clod, though...kind of.
ReplyDeleteNice 'tocks there Eric, a proper pair of pantaloons!! :)
ReplyDeleteEric you are in so much trouble showing your tocks to your mom and not listening. Oh my cats she had to knock some sense into you somehow. You might be grounded...and put on bread and water...I'm just sayin'
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi
We thinks those tocks are the handsomest tocks ever!
ReplyDeleteJust don't geet ate by those badgers!
Eric, it's not nice to ignore your mother! Nice tocks, though.
ReplyDeleteLizzie & 3 kitties
Eric
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad you did not find those badgers! *whew*
But I must admit those were some good tocks!
purrs
Abby
OMC! You had us so skeered and we were praying you didn't run into any!
ReplyDeleteOh, and lovely tocks by the way!
But aren't you scared of the badgers? I suppose the baby ones make it worthwhile to visit.....
ReplyDeleteYep, nice tock shot Eric. We like badgers but our just play sports!
ReplyDeleteYour Mom was right to try to keep you away from the badgers. They are MEAN! Nice 'tocks.
ReplyDeleteBadgers are dangerous. Your mum should have just grabbed you. She was probably worried you might get hurt.
