This is my most favourite toy in the world. It is Scruffy Rat more often known as Fred Bare. I am very much in love with Scruffy and have known him since I was a kitten. He came to live with us when I was only a few weeks old and we don't like to be parted.

When the Beans went on holiday a couple of years ago he came to live in our purrison with me but he got lost. I didn't find him for about 6 months and was very sad. Dad found him in the winter hiding in the wood pile. He thinks I must have been flinging him around and he fell down between the logs. I would never hurt Scruffy. I think Flynn must have hidden him there.
I asked Flynn if he knew anything about it, but he couldn't answer me.

ReplyDeleteThere are some toys here that I've had since kittenhood, but I don't have anywhere near the same relationship with them that you do with your toy, Eric!
ReplyDeleteEric, Fred Bare (we love the pun!) must have nine lives too...we destroy our toys fairly efficiently and we're amazed he's lasted this long.

Our hairy slobbery sister is like that with her BooBoo. Mommy and Daddy gots her BooBoo when she first came to lives with us and she was crying at night missing her Mommy and her brothers. She takes very good care of BooBoo.

ReplyDeleteI understand! I have a favorite toy too. Its my Lovey and because I've had it since I was a kitten, its in pretty bad shape. Still, no other toy can take its place.
ReplyDeleteIm glad ya have Scruffy Rat, Eric! My toys dont last very long. I chew their furs off an bat them unner TBT's feet so the get flatted! I have a whole box of dedded mousies... Plague Rat is holding up pretty well though. And there is a soft mousie of shiny cloth that I havent figured out how ta kill. Its MY favrit. Iza
