Eric's Day Friday Flashback

The Flasback this week comes from  May 2007 and was when I decided to give Eric mousie catching lessons.

Right Eric. I keep catching all the mousies and let you have them. I think it's time I showed you how to catch your own.

First of all you find a suitable hole right? Now you have a look down there and tell me if you can see anything.

Come on, it's not going to bite you. Have a good look down there.

That's better, now can you see anything?

What do you mean you don't know. Move over and let me have a look.Yup he's definitely down there.

Now stand back and let the professional show you how it's done.

Result!!! Gotcha you little devil.

Trouble is I still caught the mousie and gave it to you Eric.
You have to catch the next one yourself now I have shown you how to do it.

  2. Ha ha ha! You are a good teacher, Flynn! I bet Eric learned, too--but he never was as good as the Master, right?? ;-) XOXOXO

  3. At our old house, mousies came in all the time during cold weather. Once one had gotten under my dresser and Carl was trying to flush him out. Whenever he stuck his paw under the dresser the mouse bit him and he would shake his paw. The mouse ran into a shirt and I bundled him up and took him back outside in honor of his bravery.

  10. A master mouser indeed! I love these Friday Flashbacks. Eric looks so much smaller here. I suspect Domino taught Odin his mousing skills. It's all about sniffing the right hole, having patience and knowing when to strike.

  12. How nice to help Eric with his mouse catching skills! Mum used to live with a cat who didn't catch his first mouse until he was 15 years old! And then she thinks it was by accident. He sure could have used your help!

  15. Good job Flynn showing Eric how to catch that mouse, except we think Eric is the smart one. He just lets you catch the mouse and he doesn't have to do anything. Have a great day.

  20. I love these guys! I have four cats who are siblings, three of them brothers, and their brotherly antics never stop--especially where it concerns the mousies who come into the basement! I hope Flynn eventually learned and Eric doesn't have to spend eternity sadly shaking his head at his brother!
