Eric's Day Flashback and an Update.

This week the flashback comes from June 2008 and tells of how we first got our plant pots.

Do you remember the great big plant pot we found in the greenhouse? Mum had put weeds and cut grass in it to throw away. We decided it was a good place for napping but only one of us could get in at a time.Mum told us not to get to attached to it because it was soon going outdoors so she could put her tomato plants growing in the greenhouse.

Well, she didn't take it out, but she put another one in there as well, and put nice sweet horse hay in there for us to sleep on. Look we have one each. We were hoping she wouldn't plant her tomatoes too soon.

Look what she did! She left our big plant pots for us to nap in, and planted her tomatoes around them. That means we can come in here all summer and nap if we want to. Thanks mum, just make sure you don't water us when you water the tomatoes.

Flynn Update:
Mum rang up yesterday to see if my blood test results had come back yet. My vet was day off so she spoke to a different vet.
The thyroid number scale used in the UK is different to the readings used in the USA. My vet said she would like my number to be between 20 and 25, and before I started the pills it was 55. Last time it was 21 and this time it is 22 so it looks like I am on the right dose to keep it where it should be.
My kidney and proteinurea results are all okay too so we are happy with that. Now if I could just get my appetite back......

  13. Those big pots were PERFECT nap spots - you boys were lucky your Mom planted tomatoes AROUND them back then!! I'm so happy that your thyroid numbers are good Flynn. Looks like you and I are in GOOD SHAPE. Hope your appetite comes back. I don't eat like I used to either but my vet says it's better for my arthritis not to be as heavy as I was!

Glad to hear that your blood is all right Flynn but we sure wish you would start eating. We know that frustration of trying to get a kitty to eat. Take care.

We're glad you're doing well and have our paws crossed you'll feel like eating more again. You could take about 4 pounds from us, if you need to gain weight (2 pounds each). LOL.

  31. We had forgotten the plant pot saga!

Flynn, Mommy has started using FortiFlora on our food; it's a probiotic + flavor booster and we eat like HOGS when it's sprinkled on our stinky goodness. Even Sweet Pea!

  32. I’m so glad your numbers are where they should be so we have lots more time together. I’m also glad you liked my bikini. Did those tomato plants get so high you couldn’t get into the pots or did you just stomp them?

  34. Oh great news, Flynnie! We're so happy for you! Just a question for you. Has your vet checked the inside of your mouth and your teeth? One of us had stomatitis and it was quite painful to eat. Will you let your mum look inside of your mouth to see if there is any redness or sores?
We love when you guys are potted! What comfy resting spots and you look so adorable too!
    Love to all.

  35. Very good on the results, Flynn, but yes, you do need to get your appetite back!

  36. We love seeing both you boys in the planters those are such cute photos and Flynn we are so happy with the results from the bloodwork. Now just eat more noms. Mom said the Vet told her to get some kitten food (she bought the canned) for Mr Jinx to get him more calories, maybe you would like that too. It simply has more calories and stuff for growing kittens, and it has helped put some weight on Jinx.(and on Boo and Annabelle too who have ***HAVE TO**** to also have a bit as well)
