I'm Bored

Update

My vet said I was looking good when he saw me this morning. He listened to my heart and was pleased with it. Mum told him she was worried last week that I was peeing a lot and gave him the sample she got from me.
The bad news is that the blood in urine reading is very high again so I am back on the Oxycare pills for 2 weeks to clear it up again. That is the downside of being on prednisalone. The dose is very low, 1mg twice a day which is not high enough that it could suppress my immune system, but it can still make me more susceptible to infections. We have to weigh the pros against the cons though, and the pred is the only medication I have been able to tolerate which is keeping my T4 numbers from going through the roof. Even the natural products I have tried made me feel ill again, so if I want a good quality of life I have to keep with the Pred.
Because of the infection, my vet said he wouldn't steal my blood today so that means I got starved for nothing! Mum will test my urine herself at the end of my course of tablets, and if the blood is gone I will go for my blood test then. I hope that doesn't mean I get starved again. Thanks everyone for your continued purrs for me.


I'm bored! It keeps raining every day and the wind is so strong it blows me over.


I've got nothing to do apart from lie on this newspaper.


And you needn't think you are going to read it......


because I am going to take a nap on it.

I have to go for a blood test early this morning. Mum told me it is a fasting one. I thought it meant it would be done quickly, but mum said something about going hungry!
I was peeing more than usual last week and mum was worried it could be my kidneys as we know we have to keep a check on them and my heart as I am not on routine thyroid medication. My peeing is back to normal this week, so hopefully it will be alright. My mum caught a pee sample to take in for my vet as well.
I have my paws crossed, and mum and dad have their fingers crossed that everything will be okay.

    Gosh......boredom is a toughie - sometimes we can find something to occupy our time but if not...there's always a good nap! I will have my paws crossed for you today when you visit the vet my friend. You and I are so much alike - I just went on Monday and here you're going today! I hope the vet says you are doing well........that would make ME and your Mom and Dad HAPPYYYYY!!!!

    You're probably all right, Flynn, but it's good that your mum and dad want to check it out. With your kidneys the way they are a little irregularity may happen now and then. Let's hope that's all it is.

    That first photograph could be a dictionary definition of boredom!

    The update is a pretty good one, Flynn. I guess infections are to expected, but still they are worrisome. Eat a lot to make up being starved - and in case you're starved again of another test!
