This week the flashback comes from June 2010 and is called:
The Lookout.
It has been quite hot* here lately so mum has been taking us for walks in the evenings when it is cooler.
I stand here on my vantage point and look across the fields to make sure there is no danger in the coming darkness.
I make sure I look in all directions.
Okay, that is enough of that. Lets go and get some supper.
*We know our US friends will consider our weather to be cool, but when our temperature reaches the low 70's, that is hot to us.

That Eric was quite the sentry and yet had his priorities straight!
ReplyDeleteEric did excellent security! Yes, the 70s would be nicer than the 80s or higher we get here, but if you're not used to it, I can understand how it would be especially uncomfortable. We have so much humidity in Virginia--it just drains me.
ReplyDeleteDusk can be so pretty and Eric was quite the lookout. I’ll bet nothing got past him.
ReplyDeleteEric really was a great lookout. Nothing got pass him. :)
ReplyDeleteEric was always so watchful. But yeah, we WISH fer 70F days. As usual, it went from 60 ta 85 in a week...
ReplyDeleteThat is purrfect weather being in the 70's
ReplyDeleteWow, these are really nice dusk shots!
ReplyDeleteEric the Watchcat.....passed his duty on to his brother Flynn but something tells me he's STILL watching out for all of you! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove, Sammy
It looked like it was a warm night and Eric was watching all around in case there were any intruders.
ReplyDeleteOh, Angel Eric, you looked so mighty and regal watching over your property like that. I hope Flynn and your mom and dad are staying nice and cool these days. Purrs!
ReplyDeleteYou are a great supervisor, angel Eric :) Extra Pawkisses to stay cool :) <3
ReplyDeleteCute flashback, I am sure you were a great lookout.
ReplyDeleteI think you were a great lookout! I don't care about the temperature so long as I have a warm place to lie!
ReplyDeleteGreat poses for still cute pictures looking nice . Check Out My Online Store for Cat Lovers who loves Cat Jewellery, pendat.

ReplyDeleteIf I need a good lookout I will know to come and ask you to do so.
ReplyDeleteYou sure were furry vigilant to keep your purr-purr-ty safe, Eric.
ReplyDeleteAfter 75F, meowmy begins to wilt, MOL!
Gorgeous photos of Eric. His furs just seem to glow against the evening sky. Now, when we gaze up into the summer night and see a particularly bright star we'll know it the sparkle of Eric's beautiful white chest that we see. We'd like to think he watches down on ALL of us.
ReplyDeleteHello Flynnie, lots of love from us to you. Hope you're feeling well. XXX-OOO
Eric what a purrfect look out there and look at the beautiful sunset
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Beautiful pictures! It's a good thing you guys don't live near the equator - you'd melt!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was some good lookout watching! We wouldn't mind some temps in the 70s, twas 90s today.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos at sunset! We always smile to see photos of Eric.
ReplyDeleteThe low 70s sound terrific. Mom's comfort zone is about 68 to 72 degrees F. We are having upper 80s and low 90s already at the beginning of June. That means we could have a brutal summer. The twilight photos are wonderful. Hope to see you Sunday for selfies, Flynn. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteEric was a pawsome lookout kitty!!

Those are such delightful memories of your sweet angel Eric on patrol in the early evening. Big hugs to you all.
ReplyDeleteLovely memories... Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about Flynn in decline and send our biggest purrs xoxoxo. These shots of Eric at dusk are especially lovely.
ReplyDeleteA twilight patrol probably kept a lot of intruders at bay. He was such a good boy, that Eric.
ReplyDeleteEric Rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteMes loves him still!
Kisses
Nellie
We love seeing you protecting the homestead Eric. We learn something from you evfurry time you are such a good watch cat
ReplyDeleteTimmy and Family
That is indeed ideal weather here. High 80's start getting a bit warm for us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great lookout Eric!!! We so wish for 70's...it's in the 90's and so is the humidity. WE have a tropical storm headed in our direction, it's suppose to hit us tomorrow evening.
ReplyDeleteI like that top photo a lot! Reminds me of pictures you see - taken by PROFESSIONAL photographers - of lions on the Savannah. Purrs, Seville.
