Eric's Day Flashback - Dad did it again!

This week the flashback comes from September 2010 and is called:

Dad Did it Again!

Eric: Oh no! Wouldn't you just know it. As soon as our grass grew nice and long, dad went and cut it all down again.

I will sit here and watch it while Flynn sees if he can find any long grass to play in.

Flynn: I am looking hard but it seems like we will be out of luck.

Eric: While Flynn is doing that I will see if I can find any mangled mousies.

Sometimes the grass machine comes along and the mousies don't run back in their homes quick enough and then it is like having a buffet bar. We have to be quick though before the crows come and help themselves.

The buffet was a plus but a buffet in nice long green grass would have been better!

Well, that's one advantage of having the long grass cut...you don't have to do any hunting.

Oh no, just looking at that mowed grass is making my nose twitch with an itch! Enjoy the buffet.

I never thought of that, that your male human's work might score you some fresh kill!

We hope you found a mousie that wasn't too mangled to eat.

We never imagined that your Dad would mangle mice. Doesn't he know that's a cat's job?

Oh that is too bad that all that tall grass went away. Hope you two were able to find some nice mice. Good to see you two together.

OMG mangled mousies. I never thought of that. Extra snack. The grass though must smell so sweet.

Aren't humans silly, Flynn and Angel Eric? They're always cutting down grass, and for no good reason! Well, at least there's always the chance of a mousie buffet. Purrs!

You mean your dad used to make you a buffet bar? Does he still do that?

Ewww! Mangled mice. That sounds so barbaric. When I come over, maybe we could have rotissiere chicken instead.

TBT has set aside 2 patches of our yard he doesnt mow. They are mostly for wildflowers, but it sure seems like just "field" to US!

Hmmm, that happens here too sometimes...with garden snakes and froggies, OMC:(

You had some good snacks we think.
