This week the flashback comes from December 2010 and is one of the few times we had snow and is called:
It's Snow Joke!
When it snowed at the weekend, mum asked us if we would like to go out and play in it. IS SHE MAD??? We used to play in it when we were young and foolish, but we are older boys now with more sense. Anyway, she chucked us out the door! That shouldn't be allowed surely. Oh okay then, she opened the door and we made the mistake of going out to check it out.
Flynn: I ran right under the hedge where there was no snow.
Eric: And I went under the swing hammock.
Flynn: Mum kept trying to get photos of me under the hedge, so I had to move away from her. I tried to keep my feet out of the snow.
When I got to the end of the hedge, I had to walk on the nasty white stuff.
Yuk! I do not like this cold stuff one bit.
I don't care what she says, I'm heading back indoors.
Eric: Good idea, I'm coming too.
Okay mum, so we've been out and walked in it, now take it away again.
Hang on a minute Flynn, there's an interesting smell here.
For goodness sake Eric, never mind the smells, lets get back in by the fire.
Mum was not just content with turning us out in the snow, she had to film the indignity too. You can see at the end I saw the garage door was open and couldn't wait to get in, but I did do my full garden perimeter patrol first.
If the video doesn't play, you can watch it here.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want my toes in that white stuff either!
ReplyDeletePoor boys, having to freeze your feet like that!
ReplyDeleteBless! Your poor feets!
ReplyDeleteYikes! No way would I even think of walking on that white stuff. Plus our snow is so much deeper, my poor belleh would be dragging in the snow.
ReplyDeleteCute video. I don't blame you boys for wanting to get back inside. I was expecting some yellow snow in a photo though :)
ReplyDeleteYou boys were very brave to go out into that cold white stuff. We would never do that.
ReplyDeleteKirby and Angel got to walk in the snow once. THey did not stay out long, either!
ReplyDeleteI got to meet snow this week! I was not impressed.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I did like playing in the snow until I got wet, then not so much and that time was just a sprinkle,I'd like to try some proper snow ,xx Speedy
ReplyDeletep.s thanks for you card!
Many...Many years ago, l used to
ReplyDeletehave a pure white pussy~cat called
Darlinga. she used to love the snow!
She'd leap about in it, roll in it,
but only for a short while, and, yes,
back indoors in front the fire! :).
Hehe. We prefer snow to rain. But in our dreams, we're living somewhere where it's always warm and sunny. Though to be honest - the UK doesn't sound like our choice considering that criteria.
ReplyDeleteWell snow is definitely COLD on the feet but when I was little I loved playing in it. Nice to see the video - perimeter patrol no matter the weather!
ReplyDeleteLove, Angel Sammy
What a brave mancat Eric was getting out there in that cold snow!
ReplyDeleteOhhh that makes my toesies numb and my nose run....but it looks like you two handled it okey dokey
ReplyDeleteFlynn thank you for the beautiful card
Hugs madi your bfff
That snow is really cold on the paws. We hate it too and luckily, we don't get a lot of snow. We just stay inside. Love the video of your little path around the garden. Have a good week end.
ReplyDeleteWe don't think that is real snow and think Flynn and his Mum were keeping you all on your toes!
ReplyDeleteMost Canadians don't like going out in the snow, either, but we do just because it's either that or staying indoors for four months.
ReplyDeleteWe received your card!!!!!! We are very happy with your affection.
ReplyDeleteHave Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first year I had Bear, I sometimes carried him to the mailbox with me so he could breathe fresh air (there are lots of cars and other bad things around here). One day, there was about a foot of snow and I foolishly took him with me without thinking of the dangers of carrying him in it (and not having arms to balance). As I was walking back down the stairs to our front door, he panicked and I had to let him go on my back so we didn't both go down. He then launched off my back into the snow and you've never seen a cat move so fast. Yeah. Bear doesn't do snow either ... and I learned my lesson.
ReplyDeleteI can tell that white stuff didn't appeal to either of you! :-) I'm one of those weird humans who loves snow.
ReplyDeleteYou're so brave to walk in that cold wet stuff ; Zorro does it too, but I don't like it at all ! Purrs, Pixie
ReplyDeleteThat white stuff sure is cold, isn't it? The kitties here don't venture out into the great outdoors, but pup Astrid does. She loves playing in snow, but after a while even she rushes back inside to warm her toesies. You two sure were brave indeed, Flynn and Angel Eric, journeying through the snow like that!
ReplyDeleteYou card came today ! Flynnie, you look absolutely beautiful. So handsome and yet still like a kitty . Those beautiful eyes just mesmerize us . Our mum gasped aloud when she saw you and said, for a few seconds, it was like having you right here with us.
ReplyDeleteYou know we love you like you were our own. Thank you for remembering us, dear friends. We send you all of our love.
Oh I remember your snow adventures!!!! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteThat's cruelty to send you guys out. At least she didn't make you shovel. MOL! TW says cats' pawprints look cute in the snow. I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteAngel Eric and Flynn, you are brave mancats! We would not go out in the cold snow like that ever.
ReplyDeleteHere's another one who doesn't go outside when the world is white and cracky, but we loved to see you walking around in it, Angel Eric :) Hope everything is allright with your mom! Pawkisses for a warm weekend :) <3
ReplyDeletethat looks chilly!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the boys in action. We got our first snow last night and the only one fool enough to go out was Odin.
ReplyDeleteSending purrs to mum.
Doin' a full garden patrol with all that snow is quite an accomplishment, for sure! purrs
ReplyDeleteSo now we know why snow is not one of our fave things...MOL!
ReplyDeleteBut you two sure were brave!
