Well, it is good and bad news. The bad news is that it is cancer which I had thought it would be. The good news is that it doesn't appear to have spread.
The CT scan of my top half shows no abnormalities which is what was really worrying me.
I saw the oncology consultant today and he has referred me to the specialist who will discuss my options and will treat me.
It sounds like I won't need an operation but most likely will have chemotherapy.
He said the most important thing right now is to get the pain under control. He has started me near the bottom of the ladder with Nurofen and if that doesn't help by Saturday, then I go up to the next stage. Hopefully when the pain is controlled I will be able to sleep.
Even though it is cancer I feel so relieved it hasn't spread. I beat it before and will do so again.
We send you purrs, and many positive thoughts. We know it's not the news you wanted but we are pleased it is confined and treatment will start soon. And we hope the pain meds will work pdq so you can get some rest. Your amazingly positive attitude has got to help - much respect for that. Paws crossed for you. Nurse Flynn, you know your duties!
ReplyDeletewe are sending you lots and lots of purrs....
ReplyDeleteAll our purrs and purrayers to you, Jackie. We're glad it's not spread and we do know you will beat it. Hugs and universal Light and Blessings to you. ♥

ReplyDeleteJust the thought of cancer makes me enraged. What an evil, odious thing it is.
ReplyDeleteYes, you will beat it this time and all times. I hope the chemotherapy deals a mortal blow to the cancer and leaves you free of pain and discomfort. And I hope you will be able to sleep, and your body has the rest it needs to fight. God bless you.
Oh.
ReplyDeleteThis is hard to hear, but like you said, its good there is no evidence of spread.
