Memories - Togetherness and a "Vishus Deer".

These photos are all from 2007. We had been to Norway and brought back a reindeer skin otherwise known as a vishus deer*  for the boys, and they loved to sleep on it together.








* The late and great Skeezix the cat called deer vishus deer, and he and his brother Mao invented Vishus Deer Repellant to save young cats from them. The name has stuck ever since.

    We call them "vishus deer" too, and probably got that from Eric and Flynn!

    What a series of photos! Maybe the boys were dreaming of bringing down a huge Norwegian deer, like they would a mouse. In any case, it was certainly conducive to some good snoozing.

    What wonderful photos....the boys were closer than close! They are the epitome of best buddy brothers and it warms my heart knowing they are together again. That deer skin sure was a BIG HIT - I can imagine they really did love it as it would be snuggly and cozy for naps. What a lovely way to start off my Friday.

    I always wondered where the term came from, and I have used it too since I first saw it.

    This series of the boys sleeping on their vishus deer hide just makes my heart smile! Dear dear boys. I miss them so much and those are not just words.

    The boys certainly loved their deer skin. They look so happy and comfy smuggled together. Each photo is cuter than the next. For some reason, I don't seem to recall this so this post is an extra special treat. I miss them so and think of the boys every day.

    I've finally made me open your blog for the first time in a long time. Although I've been offline, I've heard about Flynn passing away from Punapippuri's Äiti. I'm very sorry that I didn't condolence in time.

    I was upset about Flynn's death, and by not reading your blog, I kind of pretended that this didn't happen. (Uff. I'm sorry that I'm so immature).

    Thank you for your memories posts, we really enjoyed scrolling through your blog today. I also hope that the Mum is doing good, and that she gets all the healthcare she needs in fighting her disease.

    I've had eye problems and haven't been able to read much lately. Today I thought to peek in as you had promised memories of the Flynn and Eric.     That's so cute how they sleep together ! Once Rosie and Arthur used to do that, but not anymore, Rosie hisses and Arthur wants peace, so they sleep each one in a corner !
