This week the Flashback comes from September 2011.
Eric: This is a thorn tree and it is very good for giving your self ear scritches.
It's not bad for chin scritches either.
Flynn: Hmm, this tree smells of Eric.
Oh well, I will use this one for sharpening my claws instead.

ReplyDeleteHow convenient to have a tree that can scratch your ears and face even if it does smell like your brother ;) Miss you guys.

ReplyDeleteThat tree sure came in handy!
ReplyDeleteYou so own the place. And do it so politely and emphatically too - we tend to mark with our other ends!
ReplyDeletewe need such a tree, that's better than to get scritches via the walls of my cib (that drives the mama crazy)
ReplyDeleteOH my! I didn't know there were trees that could scratch our ears for us....I must try and find one in my yard......
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
The boys had an enviable life indeed. So many simple things enjoyed to the fullest! We can only hope the the other side of the bridge is as wonderful as their beloved farm.
ReplyDeleteLove Eric’s face and expression in the first photo. Reminds me of a Victorian painting.
All of our love always.

ReplyDeleteThorn trees seem to have a bad reputation, but you have changed that for the better! Love how you marked it as your purrsonal scritch giver!
You know how to make my Friday with another puzzle! I love those little idiosyncrasies of cats!
ReplyDeleteLooks like that is a very helpful tree.
ReplyDeleteThat tree is the best nail filer.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that tree was out there for you boys to scratch on!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing the tree was there!
ReplyDeletethat's pretty clever to use that tree for scritches!!
ReplyDeleteI use my rough sisal scratching post to scratch my chin and ears and then I work my claws on it. TW doesn't like me scratching my chin on it cos she says it irritates it and gives me acne.
ReplyDeleteThat was a cute flashback. I love seeing their sweet little faces. XO
ReplyDeleteNow that thorn tree looks just the right height and spot for the travelling gentlemancat to use. I have a favourite piece of fencing (or two) and some bushes that I scent-mark. For me scratches have to be boxes and Mrs H, MOL
