Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

This week the Flashback comes from October 2011and is called:
Checking Trees.

This is our favourite climbing tree. It is a very old oak tree. There is a hole in the bottom of it and we have to regularly check it to make sure no introoders have moved in.

Eric: Can you see anything in there Flynn? Make sure you have a thorough look.

I'd better check for myself. You can never be too careful with these hidey holes.

This is my offering for Caturday Art this week.
I used Lunapic as usual starting with Scribble at 40%, then Tuscany at 60% and finished with Sparks at 40%.

You can see more art with Athena, the Cat Goddess.

I have also made the art into a puzzle. Click on the small picture to do it on Jigsaw Planet.

Your boys always made for the best artwork. Their outdoor activities made such great scenery, and of course they were so gorgeous.

We’ve always loved the boys adventures in the old trees. There was something so magical about them. We always imagined they’d find a pathway to Wonderland. Like an Alice adventure, only with cats.
One of your previous posters said today’s artwork looked like a Charles Russel painting and it does! Especially the use of color.

The boys loved their trees, didn't they? I like that painting very much. The colour and the background, though, make it seem a scene from the Canadian prairies.

Oh how cool is that. I don't have many trees on my estate that old and exciting, mainly bushes. Doing the rounds of these places, nooks and crannies is so important too, though very tiring. I don't think humans always realise how tiring it is, especially on an empty tummy, MOL
I love the jigsaw, another complicate one for Mrs H to try and do in under a day!

I bet there were critters in the tree hollow sometimes. Here squirrels would be moving right in! or maybe coons:)
