This week the Flashback comes from January 2012 and is called, "Watching."
Eric: Shhh, I saw a movement and you have to be quiet.
There it is, I saw it again.
Right down the bottom by the fallen down tree.
Flynn: Oh yes, I see it Eric, it's a rat.
Eric: I am going to sneak down and get it.
Mum: Eric! Get your backside up here now!
Eric: Drat, spoilsport!
I have used the penultimate photo for my Caturday Art.
As usual I used Lunapic starting with Sunshine at 35%, then Scribble at 25% and finishing with Picasso at 50%.
You can see more by visiting Athena, The Cat Goddess.
I have also made the art into a puzzle for those of you who enjoy them. Click on the small picture to go to Jigsaw Planet.

Good that Eric didn't get that rat after all! We love the artwork.
ReplyDeleteMoms are always ruining our good times!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could join both of you for hunting !
ReplyDeleteIt's paw some game =^x^==

Love the artwork, it looks fantastic !
Humans, they can be such spoilsports. MOL!
ReplyDeletea rat? wow you can make rat-atouille with that... but sadly our mama ruins that event always too ;O)))
ReplyDeleteThe hunting team finds a big juicy rat....probably good to just let it carry on its' way! You two sure could find those introoders though.......and the puzzle is not only a beautiful bit of artwork but Mom will be working on it later!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
What fun to find a rat even if you were called off so as to leave it alone. The art work is terrific. We like that a lot. You all have a terrific week end.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mess with a rat either, although I might think about it.
ReplyDeleteWe love seeing wonderful flashbacks of Eric and Flynn. You two were great rat hunters. Good thing you stayed away from it. Loved the beautiful art photo that you shared. Thanks for the share. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWorld of Animals
LOL @ Eric & Flynn the great Ginger hunters! They sure had fun adventures didn't they? Love your artwork Jackie! I'd never be able to do this in a 1,000 years.
ReplyDeleteMuch love Sherri-Ellen & BellaDharma x0
Boy, that rat could have done some serious injury to the boys. Thank cod you called them back! Great memory
ReplyDeleteI'm purrty sure Eric and Flynn scared the rat into the deep dark woods...they were smart to keep their distance and just STARE
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
BOYS! I'm awfully glad your mum kept you from rats wherever she was aware you were stalking them. Bites are harsh on ginger boys!
ReplyDeleteAck! Humans ruin all our fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't see the rat but I see a very nice work of art.
ReplyDeleteA rat! A real rat? Big game hunter Eric on the prowl!
ReplyDeleteFlynnie Flynn , the voice of reason.
How we wish we could do the puzzle. Mum only has an iPhone now.
WHAT?!?! Rats garner a cat bonus points! And you weren't allowed to take care of business? Sheesh. So hard to find good humans these days. ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteThe boys had such beautiful markings.
ReplyDeleteWe dont think we often saw the beautiful markings on their backs! In fact, we were surprised at these pictures.
ReplyDeleteHee! Hee! Those guys always make me laugh! And that they listened to Mom...priceless!

We love your artwork. We think you should make a little book of all the artworks of your beautiful orange boys!
ReplyDeleteLOL made me smile :-)
ReplyDeleteHave an adventuroustastic week :-)
Fun flashback. I bet they could have caught it. Thanks for the puzzle :) XO
ReplyDeleteThose boys had such fun adventures together!
ReplyDeleteYou are much better with Lunapic than our Mom - she will have to try to figure out how you do all of that. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Always love the Caturday art and seeing the boys - Tom x
ReplyDeleteHee hee. That was a good conversation and really mean of the Human at the end. But she made up for it with the nice art work XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteFantastic art as always! And we love the storytelling that goes with it.
ReplyDeletePurrs xx
Athena and Marie
Oh those mighty hunters. And those ratfink humans....
ReplyDeleteP.S. That artwork is brilliant and Äiti loved the jigsaw. A beautiful start to a lazy Sunday morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful flashback. Too bad the rat attack was thwarted, though!
ReplyDeleteMOL...you were that close, angel Eric! Why do people always have to interfere with our business...sigh... Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead 🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteThank you for the advice on the pictures, miss Jackie, but the editor doesn't work for Windows 10. so we had to look further and found that pixl.r does reseize too and that's one that we already use for years, for other things, without knowing that it reseizes too :D We already have saved 200 MB for only two blogs, so glad we did. Extra Pawkiss🐾😽💞
We love that artwork of Eric and Flynn! Sorry you had to ruin Eric's fun time. :)
ReplyDeleteYou two were great watchers. Love the art, too!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad Eric didn’t get a chance to attack that rat. Rats can be pretty vicious when cornered. It’s best to leave them alone.
ReplyDeleteOh, you angel boys! We bet you're watching and chasing angel rats, and are really, really good at it! What a beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteJackie
ReplyDeleteBryan and I loved your story about your brother's 'free spirit' at 3.
Hugs Cecilia
those guys always had the best adventures!
