This week the flashback comes from September 2008. Hopefully I haven't repeated this one because I found several that I had forgotten to cross off.
Checking Introoder Smells.
Eric: It's nice to get out and sit in the fields when it is actually not raining furr once.
Eric: I wonder what Flynn is doing down there.
Flynn: Don't interrupt me. There is a very interesting smell down here.
Eric: Well in that case I'd better come down and check it out furr myself.
Eric: Is this the right place Flynn?
Oh yes, I can tell it is. You're right Flynn, it is interesting.
Very interesting. I wonder who has been here.
You know my motto, if in doubt, pee on it, after all, they are our fields, not the introoder's.
As Eric had most of the post, here is a Wordless Wednesday from Flynn. You could get a big spider on the monitor and make it move with the mouse. Flynn was fascinated by it.

That was a whole lotta great whiffin from those boys! Lovely art too!
ReplyDeleteThat's the right answer, boys. Whenever we find a new and curious smell, we pee on it too:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
that is the best motto ever... and we will follow that advice ;O))))
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the boys today. My human has been very busy, so I've missed the past couple or so weeks!
ReplyDeleteLovely post, as always. Isn't it funny how there are times when you just want it to stop raining and others when you are begging for rain! We had some last night and are so pleased!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Ha, we love your solution of peeing on it when in doubt. Rightly so, too! :-D
ReplyDeleteThe boys were very good at keeping intruders away! MOL
ReplyDeleteNothing better than checking out smells and pee mail ;)
ReplyDeleteMum wishes all spiders were only on the monitor! MOL!!
Purrs, Julie
I would have loved to bury my face in that plush mancat white furry chest.
ReplyDeleteYay on your tomato crop Jackie and Ivor. what a treat to have fresh tomato soup in the winter
Hugs Cecilia
Lol. My kittens would love the spider on the monitor. Probably a little too much. :-) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your boys out on the hunt. So precious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug, Jackie. ♥
"If in doubt, pee on it"
ReplyDeleteExactly!!!!
Hahahaha!
Lovely art, and terrific puzzles...thanks.
Great sniffing and snooping post! And the spider on the computer is funny. Always a smile when I come here. Back in 2003 on today's date August 5th, I had to say good bye to Momma Kitty. She was a sweet old lady semi-longhaired tortie who I don't think was a stray - always thought she was dumped; their loss, my big gain! She was very people friendly and loved to be brushed, that and eating I think were her two favorite things. When I decided I wanted to keep Momma, I took her to the vets and she tested feline leukemia positive, however a carrier, and had no symptoms. Momma was in my life for 3 years before her organs started failing. It was devastating saying good bye, and that afternoon I went to the shelter and adopted Lucy, a pretty little gray tabby who had been at the shelter the longest, months from what I was told. She was sweet and friendly; the only thing I could think of was she was continuously passed over as she was waiting for me, and Momma sent me to her. In tribute to my two girls, I'd love to see a post from either August 5th or August 8th (the actual day I brought Lucy home - she had to be vet checked and spayed before they would release her to me) Mom's catwork as always is appreciated. Hope Mom and Dad are doing well. Until next week...Jean
ReplyDeleteAww! these always make me smile the end did too lol
ReplyDeleteHave a smelllesstastic weekend 👍
Good memories can't be showen to ofen
ReplyDeleteIt's always heartwarming to see your boys out in the fields. They had the best of times out there. Their coats appear more orange than usual. There's nothing quite like those gingers.
ReplyDeleteI like it that your art features the boys from behind this week. I find it very artful. The first one with Eric has such a soft appearance, but still looks like a painting. The second of Flynn makes a very bold and colourful statement and is much more like modern art.
That's a great motto MOL! I think the spider on the screen would creep me out.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts. Great pics!
ReplyDeleteCute flashback. Flynn loved looking for mousies and Eric loved peeing on stuff. :) Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteYup, the boys being themselves. I wonder how Hector would feel about a monitor-spider?
ReplyDeleteSuch good patrol skills, and it would be fun to chase a bug around the screen, good eye training.
ReplyDeleteSorry, it's messymimi, no idea why it's anonymous today.
DeleteWe agree that fields should allus be dry for comfort in walking around in them. Wet paws are disturbing. That was a nice flashback to a good day of searching through the field fer mousies.
ReplyDeleteRight now our fields are very wet, so we are mostly staying inside where it's dry. You are so right about wet paws.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed your flashback it's always nice to look for mice.
Sniffies and whiffies are always so intriguing!
ReplyDeleteIt seemed like Flynn was about ready to smack that spider, LOL!
I don't remember this one, so I'm glad you shared it, Mum Jackie! Sniff and pee sounds like a good plan, Angels Eric and Flynn. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the spider in on the screen pic with Flynn. How fun!
Got to love the boys devotion to keeping tabs on intruder smells and potentially lethal spiders, MOL
ReplyDeleteBrilliant but tough jigsaws!

"If in doubt, pee on it!" MOL. Great advice!
ReplyDeleteWonderful art, too.
So fun to be able to roam the fields! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteMOL, that Eric was too funny! But he's not wrong! Need to let those introoders know what's what.
ReplyDeleteKatie would have a cow if there was a spider on our screen!
ReplyDeletedo you know I first learned about "introoders" from YOUR blog? I sure did! No one handled "introoders" better than your boys! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe boys always did a great job keeping intruders away.
ReplyDeleteWe always enjoy seeing those guys! TW wouldn't know if you ran it last week. Chemo brain is a real thing. She can't remember anything.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely memories--thank you for sharing them.
