The flashback this week is called Jungle Cats and comes from August 2009.
Flynn: This is our favourite jungle. It is rough ground between two of the fields and the bracken grows high here. There are the remains of an old log pile too which is always good to explore.
Eric: It is good for sharpening your claws on. When you are in the jungle, you need to make sure your claws are really sharp.
We find all sorts of exciting things here like fev-vers nests and bunnies and even snakes.
And of course, interesting smells.
And you know what you do to strange smells don't you.

ReplyDeleteEric, how barbaric! HAH! Those are inneresting ferns and stuff.
ReplyDeleteOh you boys always had such fun exploring! Our Mom was looking a some driftwood the other day and was trying to figure out how to get it home so we could sharpen our claws on that. Trees are so much fun! XO
ReplyDeleteThat jungle was the best for Angels Aric and Flynn. We especially loved the log that was good for sharpening their claws. :)
ReplyDeleteThe ferns and log are great to to explore around. We have them too. We love that they enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteWhat brave, bold Explorers you boys were! And the art is terrific too.
ReplyDeleteMiss those two ginger boys.
ReplyDeleteWow! You guys do look like wildcats in the jungle! Totally AWESOME as is the digital painting your Peep made! (and we can't wait to do the puzzle). Purrs Marvelous Marv
ReplyDeleteJungles like that need the experts like you two for finding all the 'treasures' in there.
ReplyDeleteIt DOES look like a jungle there!! But SNAKES??? NOOOOOO!! I can't handle snakes!! Thank you for your comment on my blog. I responded but am not sure if you will see it so I want to post my response here "While I can't relate to your SPECIFIC situation, what I CAN relate to is having a hard time moving on. Because of the horrific way that Cody passed, I torment myself with guilt. I don't believe there is a timeline for grief. I think it's different for everyone. You endured sooooo much! Cancer is no joke and then to have your kitty be sick at the same time, I can't imagine. Just please know that you are NOT alone. If you ever want to email, I'm here!! xoxo"
ReplyDeleteNot everyone got their own jungel. Watch out for the tigers!
ReplyDeleteI miss having a backyard where I can sharpen my claws on a tree, and roll on my back in the thick grass, and hunt bugs. Now I live in FloryDa where it's hot all the time, and while there are some really great bugs... my paws haven't touched grass in 2 years. So sad. Love, Dori
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, you boys had a well loved life and the best of parents.
ReplyDeleteAdorable? And wise words about sharp nails. :D
