Two posts this week because Eric isn't in this one. He has his own short post after.
Flynn: Uh oh!
Dad woke up about 4.30 to go to the bathroom and we asked if we could go out in the garden so he opened the door for us and went back to bed. A bit later he thought he heard a noise but didn't hear anything else so thought he had imagined it. A bit later still mum wanted to go to the bathroom and thought it was strange that we hadn't been back in to see them so went out to look in the other room. This is what she found! There were CDs, camera boxes, heavy phone books and all sorts scattered on the floor.
The first thing that came into her mind (after she grabbed the camera) was whether it was a bird or a mouse.
She didn't see any feathers so thought it must be a mousie and I was still trying to climb through the computer desk.
She called dad to see the mess and I thought I was in big trouble but they both were laughing about it and they thanked me for starting their day with a smile. Then she picked up the worst of the mess and moved the small shelves and I helped dad catch the mousie.
Bloggers who were around in April 2011 may remember that was when I was first diagnosed with cancer, and anything that made us smile was very welcome.
Eric: Wordless Wednesday with a few words.

Those were fun! Those boys were sure explorers inside and outside. Pretty art too. We send big hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteGracious, a mousie had the nerve to come inside!?! I'm glad it was caught, they belong outdoors.
ReplyDeleteEric, I certainly would not go near a badger hole unless I was totally sure Mr. Badger was not around.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.
wow you are super hunters... maybe the mouse on the desk wanted to be the mouse pad?
ReplyDeleteAh! Bless! :).xx Amazing how much mess
ReplyDeletea small mouse can make, but then...he may
have been looking for a certain number in
Yellow Pages..! HeHe! :).
Excellent hunting skills eliminated Mr. House in the House!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Teddy
Well that was certainly one way to reorganize everything that was on the shelf. First have Flynn ynn tear it all off and the chase for a mouse. Nice to see that Eric was looking for the badger. And that both boys were there to cheer you on when you started out with cancer.
ReplyDeleteIf stuff is in the way of something a cat wants, it'll get relocated quickly!
ReplyDeleteLovely art and puzzles...thanks.
MOL MOL Eric you went down the proverbial rabbit hole...I bet it was fun.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you had Yellow pages in the UK.
Of course no one has them now because of cell phones.
Hugs cecilia

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun memory!
ReplyDeleteThe boys were such good hunters. Nice art. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteWe love seeing the boys and Eric's Water Color is beautiful. Hey Flynn, we didn't know you were such a rabble rouser! You really did a number on "exploring" those items. Good thing your humans were in a good mood that day!
ReplyDeleteGreat hunting! Love the art.
ReplyDeleteBoth artworks are outstanding! and we loved to have puzzled one of you two already😸Loved to see you caught that mousie, Flynn😹We hope all is well Jackie🙏We also want to thank you for stopping by at our bloggie to bring well wishes for little Faye. Very appurrciated dear furriend. Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteWow, that was one determined cat going after that mouse! it didn't stand a chance! Now that the weather has turned colder here, we once again have mice coming into our cellar...so we have to check all the various traps every day...and so far two mousies were taken...
ReplyDeleteGood thing no one was home, Eric...
Hugs to you all!
Thank you for giving your mom a smile on a hard day
ReplyDeleteThat is most definitely a special memory of a very smile-inducing moment. Great hunting by Angel Flynn, and how very brave of Angel Eric to spick his head in that badger hole! XO
ReplyDeleteCrazy that a mousie wreaked such havoc. Sheesh, if I was Eric, I'd've been afraid Mr. Badger would have taken my head off!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a hullaballoo that mousie caused! But at least it made Mum smile.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a big mess is worth a laugh, isn't it? Good for the boys for bringing those smiles.
ReplyDeleteYellow pages! Haven't seen a telephone book - white or yellow - in years. Used to drop them off every year at the house. You boys always bring a smile with your adventures. Glad the mouse was taken care of. They don't belong inside, that's for sure. Nice catwork! Hope everyone in your home is doing well. Until next time...Jean
