Sunday Selfies and Much More!

I haven't been commenting over the last 2 weeks and am now trying to catch up a bit. We went on a cruise around Scandinavia, then on our return we went to see Vidock as he was the warhorse in the British Percheron Centenary celebration at the Museum of Living History near Chichester.
There are some photos of us with him and Virginia after the numerous cat selfies.
After we left there we headed towards Hastings for a few days and visited the Cats Protection shelter so we could meet the cats we sponsor.

Of course we were able to get selfies there!
Visit the Kitties Blue at The Cat on my Head to see more selfies.

This is Soxy and he was only too willing to have his selfie taken. He is a 13 year old male.

He let me know he wanted to get closer.....

so we had a cuddle.

Next up was Vinny who enjoyed some ear scritches

And back scritches. Vinny is a 15 year old male.

This is Puszka, a pretty 10 year old tortie.

After a slight hesitation she came over to say hello.

Next was Oscar, a 9 year old male.

Not a very good photo, but he was enjoying head and tummy rubs at the same time.

Last, but not least came Twiggy. He said that he wanted to do a selfie just like Soxy. I think he did it very well.

He seemed to like Ivor a lot!

He gave him a lot of head butts. Maybe he was hoping to get his bowl refilled!
Twiggy is a 2 year old male.
All of these cats and many more can be adopted from the Hayward's Heath Cats Protection Centre in Sussex.

As I mentioned earlier, after getting off the ship we headed towards Chichester to meet Virginia and Vidock again.
The last time we saw them it was a very wet day and Vidock had obviously been enjoying rolling in the mud.

This time it was a hot and sunny day. Virginia had spent a lot of time and effort getting him bathed and clean for the show.

He enjoyed treats from both of us and was very well behaved.

The highlight for us was seeing him taking the part of the warhorse. He looked magnificent along with his rider, braided and wearing an original World War 1 saddle.

He did Virginia and everyone connected with him proud as he followed the gun. It was lovely to meet up with them again.

Sunday Selfies - Pippa, (and a belated Freddie.)

I am sorry I haven't visited much lately but I have been without internet and a landline phone for 2 days. I have been trying not to use too much data on my mobile as I didn't know how long it would take to fix and didn't want to start running up big bills.
We now have the landline back, but internet is still very patchy. At least I am getting it some of the time so I will visit as and when I can.

I was going to do a selfie 2 weeks ago of the latest cat in the pen I sponsor but posted Friday Flashbacks instead for the last 2 weeks.

This is Freddie who was going to do the selfie, but the good news is that he has got his Forever Home already.
He was an older boy of 13 who lost his home when his owner died. He was only in the pen for 16 days which is the best news for him.

This week our latest sponsor cat is doing the selfie instead.
Meet Pippa!
This is what they say about her.
Pippa is extremely affectionate and loves attention. Unfortunately she is a flu carrier and this means that she can be particularly sneezy at times. Pippa is a very curious kitty who loves being outdoors exploring, and in her previous home was reported as having followed the postman and delivery men around the street. She loves to play, especially with laser lights and also likes to be groomed. She will need to be the only cat in the house, but will make a wonderful member of the family offering hours of fun and cuddles.
 Age: 2 years old
Gender: Female Breed:
DSH Colour: Black and White
Location:National Cat Adoption Centre - Sussex.

I don't know why she was surrendered and don't want to jump to conclusions that may be wrong.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if she could find her home as quickly as Freddie did!

Sunday Selfies - Lara.

Do you remember Kozal our guest selfie from September? He was one of the Cats Protection cats in the pen we are sponsoring.
I have good news and am very happy to say that he has been adopted and went to his forever home on November 8th.
Not only will he have a great Christmas, but a lovely home for his golden years.

This pretty lady cat is called Lara and is the latest to arrive in our sponsor pen.
"Lara is a very friendly and talkative girl who loves attention. Once she gets to know you, she is a real lap cat and especially likes a tickle behind her ears or under the tip of her chin. Lara is a beautiful and confident cat who likes to play, especially with a catnip filled mouse. She also enjoys the outdoors and her previous owners have said that she likes to spend time lazing in the sun."

Like Kozal, I don't know why her owners surrendered her but hope she soon finds her forever home too.
Today she is doing the guest selfie.

Sunday Selfies.

It's Sunday again so that means I have to try and wake up for my selfie.

I'm finding it difficult to open my eyes.

That's a bit better but not much.

I think that is as good as I'll get.

Sunday Selfie.

Since I have been on my new pills I am feeling quite a lot better and taking interest in life again. The best thing is that I am able to take them with no apparent ill effects. Those of you who have followed me for some time know that I developed an intolerance to most medication after being given Convenia, so we are very grateful that I can take my new pills.

I am still spending a lot of time on the bed because I need to try and get back my strength and some of the weight I lost, but I am going outdoors a lot more again as well.

I told my mum that I could do my selfie on my own this week.

Happy Easter, Sunday Selfie and an update.

Happy Easter to all of my friends.

I haven't taken any selfies lately as I have been ill again. On Wednesday my mum and dad thought they would have to help me to the Bridge.
I haven't been eating and just lying around looking very miserable. I had just about given up, but my mum and dad know I am a fighter and can make a miraculous turnaround.
I saw my vet and he gave me a shot and gave my mum one to give me 24 hours later.
He said that if there was an improvement I could have it in pill form but they have to watch carefully because of my intolerance to most medication.

I have had the pills for 2 days now and apart from being a bit loose, (not diarrhoea) I don't seem to be having any ill effects from them.
I have started to eat again, not as much as I should but much better than I was. I feel better as well and am more alert. We are hoping the pills continue to work as we have almost run out of options if they don't.

My mum asked me if I wanted to do a selfie today and I said I would if she joined me, so she did.

Sunday Selfies

I have been having a nice nap while I am waiting for the sun to come through the window. Mum had to remind me again to take my selfie. I haven't really woken up yet so I had better try again.

I managed to get my eyes a bit more open, but I think this is as good as I can manage. Hopefully the sun will be here soon.

My mum came in later and saw that the sun had reached me, but as I was fast asleep she took a photo for me.

Sunday Selfies.

First of all I would like to thank everyone who came and commented on Eric's Memorial selfies last week. It touches our hearts that so many came to remember him.

It is Sunday so I am taking it easy and having a nap. Mum came into the bedroom and told me not to forget to take my selfie.

I was so tired that I had to use my back paw for the shutter button.

Memorial Sunday Selfie

This week is a very special selfie from my dear brother Eric.
It is 4 years ago today that he had to leave us.
We love and miss him as much today as we did then, and the pain of losing him never goes.

We love you Eric, and always will.

Thank you to Angel Sammy and Teddy for the lovely memorial picture you made for Eric for me.

Sunday Selfie.

Once again I haven't taken any selfies lately so I chose this one from last summer when I was still able to go for longer walks.
Next Sunday will be a special selfie.

Sunday Selfie

I was getting ready to take my selfie but my mum had to interfere. Doesn't she know that mancats don't wear bows?

If you've finished making me look silly I would like to go to sleep now.
