Another Day Another Walk.

Eric: The weather stayed dry so we took mum for another walk. Flynn was listening to mousies so I crept up on him.

He jumped into the hedge after it, but this one got away. He will be back looking for it again tomorrow.

Then we sat in the grass for a while and did a bit of nomming.

Flynn was still listening for mousies, but I kept nomming.

Then Flynn decided it was time to walk again, so I had to follow him. That boy can't sit still for two minutes!

I climbed on the hedge to look at the sheep but couldn't see them.

I looked the other way but still couldn't see them. They must have moved into another field.

Then bliss! I found some pheasant poop and was going to have a good roll in it, but mum saw me and shouted at me. I ignored her so she pushed me away from it, so I bit her. It wasn't a hard bite, just a warning bite to leave me alone because I wanted the poop. Do you know what she did? She smacked my bottom. How dare she! I may report her for cruelty.

All the time this was happening, Mr.Goody Twoshoes Flynn was sat posing in the sun so she would tell him what a good handsome boy he is. BLECH!

  2. But Eric, rolling in poop means you have to get a bath!

  3. Your mum may have been right. If you keep rolling in their poop, the pheasants will keep coming back. Who would want that?

  13. Is your mom feeding you? If she is, then she had the right to pop you on your bottom for eating poop. Great job Flynn for being the good boy.

  16. You meant Mean Snuggly Ladies smack you on the bum when you bite even when you're a Big Kitty? The mean Snuggly Lady smacked my bum when I bit her when she wouldn't let me defeat the Big Kitty Boy! Do Big Kitties still get squirted with the Bad Cat water too?

Mousies hide in hedges? What's a hedge? My mousies hide in my basket!

  18. We see you both had another exciting day! Sorry you missed the mousie, Flynn, but we're sure you'll get him another day. Eric, we dunno about the pheasant poop. We've never smelled any, so we don't know how terrific it is to roll in, but we'll take your word for it. Absolutely no biting the hand that feeds you, though! That's just bad form.

  19. Eric,
We've got pheasants in our garden at the moment ~ so we're gonna hunt for pheasant poop and then roll innit!

    Flynn looks very handsome!

  20. Eric, sometimes Mom "pops" us in the nose if we give her a little bitey, or if Whitey gives her a hissy when she wants him to move off a chair!

Isn't that against the law or something?

  21. What a wonderful walk you took your mommy on! Flynn is such a good hunter, I'm sure that mousie won't escape him a second time.

I think your mommy is only trying to keep you healthy, Eric -- that's why she doesn't want you eating the pheasant poop! What's up with that anyway?

I mean it's one thing to roll in it, but to eat it??? Can't account for some tastes, I guess.

It wasn't good to bite mommy, either. No wonder she gave you a whap on the butt. No harm done.

  23. It looks like you were having a good time out in the fields today.
We have been outside a lot of today but don't have any fields to roam in - you are so lucky.
We can only hope that some mice break into our garden and wait for us to chase them!!
Mum managed to find the link to the cat blogoshere.

  28. Eric, my mommie wants to know whether you think that Rosie would like l'essence de poop de pheasant?

That looked like a fun walk. Mommie says that I can't go outside today because it's rainy and muddy. I'll have to content myself with my crinkle balls and feather wand.
