New York.

We are glad to have our Beans back home because it means walks in the fields again.......

and that means time for a rassle.
We have told mum she can put some holiday photos up so she will be sharing our blog over the next few days.

They sailed into New York on the Queen Mary 2 and the moon was still shining as Manhattan came into view
It was a beautiful morning and a lovely sunrise.
They stayed in New York for three days and saw lots of different things.

They went to Central Park and saw the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon.

They saw this pretty lake and sat there for a while in the shade. It was very peaceful.

This is a photo that dad never thought he would see. He has always wanted to go up the Empire State Building, but mum is afraid of lifts (elevators) and would never go in them at all until a few years ago. Now she will go in them, but only if he is with her and she still gets panicky in them. She also hates heights! Dad really wanted to go up and she said she would wait at the bottom for him. Then she decided SHE WOULD GO UP WITH HIM! They bought the tickets and she really wanted to back out but was determined not to. She did it! She went up 86 floors and even went out on the observation deck and took photos. Dad said he was very proud of her.

This is the view from 86 floors up. Dad took the photo because mum said no way was she looking down because she really would have freaked out.

On their last day in New York they were flying from JFK to Miami and they met Jeter Harris' mom and she brought Flat JH with her. She brought bagels with her for their breakfast and dad shared his with Flat JH.

What we want to know is, why didn't Flat Eric and Flynn get to go with them!

Then mum gave Flat JH a cuddle.
Here is Jeter Harris' lovely mom with Flat JH. Our Beans said they really enjoyed meeting them.
Mr. Jeter Harris hisself sent out some presents for us too, but mum says we have to wait until tomorrow for them. It's not fair to keep us waiting!

  35. *pawsome*

Wow those pictures are great. WE thought that seeing NYC at sunrise from your viewpoint must've been fantastic. Good for your Mum finding the courage to go up the lift to the 86th floor! My Momma is afraid of escalators. She has to use the elevator -- she has a vesticular problem and looking down onto a moving thing freaks her mind out. It's weird...

It was good to see you boyz rasslin again too.

Our mama has a difficult time with heights.......she always feels something pulling her to the edge......it really scares her so unless she is in a mighty secure place where she can't get pulled over the edge, she will not get her feet off terra firma!!!!!!! Strange that she loves to fly, huh?????? xxxxxxxxxx
