The Friday Flashback this week comes from May 2009. We had quite a surprise when we went into the field and wondered..........
WHO STOLE THE GRASS?
We went for our walk today and as soon as we got in the field we could see something had happened.
Flynn: Eric the grass isn't right. It's not long any more. How can we bounce around in it?
Eric: I don't know. Something strange has happened to it. I'm following a trail to see if I can find the long grass.
Eric: Nope, no sign of it.
Flynn: Well, we may as well lie down here for a while until we can work out what happened.
Eric: Yup, something's going on. I wonder if dad knows anything about it.
We'll let you know when we find out where our grass went.

We are having two days off and will be back on Monday. The Beans are going away for the weekend because dad is taking part in a clay shooting competition. We don't know why he wants to shoot clay pigeons. They don't sound very tasty.

Well, guys, we think the absence of long grass might have something to do with haying. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe hope your mum and dad have fun, have a great weekend!
That is a mystery fur sure...maybe the space creatures that do the crop circles took your grass too! I hope your Mom and Dad have a great time.
ReplyDeleteThe grass sure is mysterious!
ReplyDeleteMommy is chuckling...she said first clay pigeons, then ceramic lawn ornaments!
Mommy is strange, but we don't like garden gnomes either. Maybe she's onto something...
I'd check with the daddy if I were you. Clay pigeons??? Now where's the fun in that? Ask for feathery ones as a gift.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness what happened to the grass!
ReplyDeleteOh no, did you ever figure out who stole your grass?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your 2 days off.
I think that the long grass has been cut and laying next to you. I could be wrong though. Mom loves the last picture of the two of you together. Sure hope your Dad has fun shooting the clay pigeons. A competion huh? Hope he wins.
ReplyDeleteCasper

WE are sorry Mom and Dad are going away again!
ReplyDeleteWe loves your flash-back guys. It must have been very tramatic to loosed your grass like that.
ReplyDeleteWe hopes your daddy does good shooting the clay!
Have a great weekend my friends!
It's pretty shocking that somebody would steal an entire field of grass. We hope the culprit was apprehended. We hope your beans have a fun weekend. Hunting mousies sounds like a lot more fun than hunting clay pigeons...beans sure are weird.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what a shock that must have been, seeing the grass like that.
ReplyDeleteShooting clay pigeons? Only a human would think that was a good idea!
That was some great teamwork trying to figure out what happened to the grass.
ReplyDeleteWE were looking and looking for the grasses too and we couldn't figure out what happened. Oh dear!
ReplyDeleteWE hope your Dad enjoys shooting at clay pigeons...
