We are out in the long grass again. This is the same field that all the grass disappeared from in our Friday Flashback. We are very glad it came back again this year and we are hoping it doesn't go away again.
It is very good for hiding in. The fev-vers don't know when we are in here, and there are lots of mousies in here too.
Flynn: I found a mousie nest and dug it out but it looks like they have already left home.
Eric: I went and checked it just in case Flynn had missed a mousie hiding in there, but it looks like he is right, they have already moved out.
It is still hot so we laid down in the cool grass for a while.
Eric: Very restful.
Flynn: Yes, but I still kept my eyes and ears on alert in case of any mousies or grasshoppers came along.
Eric: Uh oh, no peace for us. Here comes the pawpurrazzi again.

Enjoy the tall grasses while you can boys, you never know when someone might steal them and ruin your fun!

ReplyDeleteWe would like to have a walk and stalk in your fields - that grass must be great for hiding in. The mouses managed to hide in it too - they must have heard a leaf rustle when you were getting near.
