We are on our patrols again and thought we would check out the wildflowers. These are forget-me-nots which are not really a wild flower, but they are growing wild here in the field.
We don't know what this flower is, but we think it is pretty.
We call this the "Vishus Deer Tree".
It's branches are soft and furry like the velvet on a vishus deer antlers. We don't know what it is called either or how it got here. We think a bird must have dropped a seed at some time.
We had a quick look over to where the badgers live, but didn't go over there.
Checked a few smells........
Phew! It's further to climb back up than I thought.
Then we relaxed in the sun.
Flynn: And I kept a close eye on Eric's shadow in case it jumped on me.

Oh, superb patrol! The wild-growing forget-me-nots are lovely, such pretty little flowers, one of our mom's favourite.
ReplyDeleteWell done, both of you. Hope you get extra rations for all your hard work!
Great snoopervision, boys. Spring has definitely come to your part of the world! How pretty and fresh efurrything looks. Keep an eye on that shadow, they can be tricky!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great field trip in the field guys!
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful day for a walk!
ReplyDeleteLovely patrol weather. Nice and sunny.
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!
ReplyDeleteWow that looks like a whole lot of fun! I went down and patrolled along the river bank all the way to the bridge today. The racoons have not moved out of their burrow, so the river can't be too high yet. And I was mouse hunting. 3 more heads for my collection under the junipers!
Have a great Day!
Kozmo
Yeah it's not fun to get jumped!
ReplyDeleteWe like watching you too, because we can't get outside. You guys look great with the green grass contrasting your furs.
ReplyDeleteThat was a very odd looking tree! It looks like something that would grow out here in southern California!
ReplyDeleteMommy and I loves you two. You are handsome and adventerous boys. PLEASE never get over to check on the badgers, that scares us.
ReplyDeleteMancat Spring Patrol! It seems everything is in order, thanks to your hard work. The flowers are so pretty. The mom here loves forget-me-nots.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sunny day you had for your walk - we are so jealous if you'd have been walking here you would have drowned!! We love the wild flowers - we don't know what the second one was called.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
You boys watch out for those badgers!
ReplyDeleteYou boys were probably lucking that there was no badger around...but, Eric, that shadow looks almost as menacing!
ReplyDeleteYou boys look like you had a great walk patrolling everything. Good thing you boys are there to make sure everything is all right. Hope all of you have a fantastic day.

Thank Cod that was just a vishus deer TREE!!! Phew! Still...you can't be too careful. Maybe the vishus deer hangs out with the vishus deer tree.
