These are photos of when I went to the V E T and had my tooth out. There is nothing nasty here, but we don't want to upset anyone as they do show me under anaesthetic and the tooth being removed, so if they may upset you don't go any further.
My Day of Torture by Flynn.
When mum and dad deserted me at the Evil Vet Place I saw someone I recognised. She is called Tiffany and has a horse who lives in our fields and we see him when we go for our walks. I thought she had come to rescue me but she said she was going to be my anaesthetist and she would help me to have a nap. I don't know why because I never usually have any trouble napping. She took the photos and text them to my mum.
I think this is when I first went to sleep but I can't remember.......because I was asleep.
The lady vet, Caroline, found the tooth that was causing the problem. She said it was very painful because I even flinched when I was asleep. She took it out and cleaned the tartar off my other teeth.
When it was finished I slowly started to wake up. I was so tired I couldn't even put my tongue away.
They brought me some food but it wasn't what I had ordered so I didn't touch it. They brought me a newspaper to read too, but you know what it's like when you are really tired, you keep reading the same bit over and over, so I didn't bother with that either.
This is me 30 hours later. I feel much happier. Now I just have to wait for my fur on my neck and leg to grow back.
Oh, I nearly forgot. I had my blood stolen as well as my fur to check I was healthy and all my numbers are good.

ReplyDeleteFlynn, you are a real hero cat to allow those photos to be displayed. Your bloggie MUST get the best documentary photography award ever . you taker photos and then you have these. I must admit I didn't like the pictures but Ă„iti was very interested. And we are all delighted you are better now, and even though this experience was awful x millions, hopefully your mouth is not painful now. Hero cat!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's about how Binga looked when she had her dental last year! Aren't you glad that's over with and that painful tooth is gone now?
ReplyDeleteOh Poor Flynn! We're glad you're well again. But what an experience! When you are all healed we hope you get treats!
ReplyDeleteHoney, Gandalf had to have one removed a few months back for the same reason. Isn't technology FABulous? Dr. Tad tested me photos of Gandalf's extraction and cleaning, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd honey, a painful tooth is an unwelcome tooth.
I'm so glad you did well! srsly.
Flynn what an ordeal - thank goodness you were taking a nap. We hope you will soon make up for the missed food while you were being tortured.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

ReplyDeleteGlad all went well. Hey, between you and me, I'd just as soon be "napping" when the vets do their thing, anyhow..:) whatever it is.
Tom
But what are the vets doing with the blood they steal?!
ReplyDeleteMy human told me their doctors steal blood sometimes too!

Hi Flynn...we thank you for allowing us to view your dental trip. After all we were with you in spirit too.
ReplyDeleteNow I agree with you if they are going to do things to you when you are asleep at least they could be SURE to offer you gourmet foodables when you wake up. AND who can read when they are too starved to hold their head up
Bug hugs

Boy, are you going to feel good now that the hurty tooth is gone! WE are so happy-and relieved-you did well in anaesthesia.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses, sweetheart.
Allie: Oh FLYNN! What a harrowing ordeal!! How is your pain now that the tooth is gone??
ReplyDeleteMaxwell: Dood, I feel your pain. When they took all 12 of my front teeth they said I flinched under anesthesia too, which is why they went ahead and took them... *sigh* What is it with us MANLY Mancats and bad teeth?
