My Visitor.

My lovely friend Nellie told me she was visiting Speedy last week. As I only live about 15 miles from him she asked if she could come and see me this week. Of course I told her I would love to see her.

I went for a walk in the fields to check out the mousie situation before she got here and then I could hear her calling to me.

I ran over to her and we had a quiet walk together. She enjoyed the feel of the grass between her toes after all the snow she has at home.


Then I watched while she had fun catching spiders.


Then we finished our walk in the best way by having a lovely dust bath followed by a snooze in the sun. When we woke up I told her to wait because I had another surprise for her.....

A nice juicy freshly caught mousie.

She was ever so pleased with it and said it was the bestest present.
Thanks for coming to visit Nellie, I enjoyed our time together.

    Brilliant that Nellie visited you, Flynn! I thought she would seeing she was so close!! AND you are the best mouser in the blogosphere .... next to me of course MOL!

    Mum says she should have realised it was the river Tavy!! Her paternal ancestors come from the Tavistock area and just over the border in Cornwall! Have a great week!

    Glad to see you were up to a visit from Nellie. Nothing like a little girl cat to cheer you up, ehh Flynn. You were the consummate host to present her with a deaded mousie as a parting gift so she can remember your lovely day together . I cannot tell you how good it is to see your hunting in your green fields again. We are purraying that your medicine works with no problems & that you can gain back some of the weight you lost.
