Caturday Art - A Welcome Rest.

I haven't done a Caturday Art for a few weeks because when I lost everything on the computer when I had to reinstall Windows, one of the very few folders I didn't have saved to my external hard drive was the one that contained art I had ready for the next several weeks. I also had a lot of photos in the folder ready to be made into art.
I need to look through my ext. HD and sort out more photos ready for future weeks.

For this picture I started with Lunapic Sparks adjusted to 35%, then the retro vintage harsh filter, also at 35%. This was followed by Scribble at 30% and ending with 30% Landscape. I then added a bevelled border.
I always seem to add Landscape for the touch of blue. I think I made a mistake using it for this picture as it just looks like reflections on it.

This one I also used Lunapic and started with the weave filter to give it a bit of texture. Then I added the Coffee effect at 30% and then Picasso at 40% and finished with a traditional frame.

This is the original photo.

  2. You are very artistic. I like the second picture better.

  3. I like both arty versions. Actually the reflections in the first one make it look like it is under glass, and that is kind of cool!

  4. I think adding special art effects and filters is so much fun - but the fact remains - those boys were so photogenic that any photo of them (especially together!) is a work of art all on its' own!

    Love, Teddy and Mom too

  5. We like all three, but the second one is our favorite. It is always so good to see the Angel boys. Have a great week end.

  9. You are so talented, Jacki! But when you have such sweet subjects how can your art not turn out purrfect.

The community cats across the street from where our mum use to work are long gone. The big building on the property has been empty for many years. We have often wondered what happened to them. Once in awhile Mum will go over there and look around. It's kind of sad.

  10. Such special special kitties. We always love seeing both of them so very much. Lovely art today, as always.

  11. Sweet angel orange boyfriends, we just love the way your mum combined the lunatic effects this week. We learned something too, that one can use 30-40-50 and don't have to use 100%. Aren't you the smarties! Seeing you guys with all that green grass reminds me of what a good time you had and that spring is coming. We never knew Eric but miss seeing orange boyfriend Flynn frolicking in the green grass.

  12. Such a nice scene of contentment and companionship. I especially like the second one, but anything with coffee appeals to me!

  13. Computers sometimes live a life of their own, miss Jackie, they do that to us too and that's sooo annoying..sigh...
Glad you did some artwork anyway and it really turned out great. I like the reflections and with the bevelled border the Angels look kind of spacey :D The second Coffee filter...MOL...with the weave is very nice too, but we think everything looks magnificent with the Angels in it :) Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend :) <3

  14. Once again it's great to see the boy together! I can empathize with you--my computer died two weeks ago and it was terrible to realize things I had lost cause I had not saved them on my hard drive--thank God I had all the cat photos saved!

  15. I like both of these, and I like the reflective border and the overall reflective effect of the first art creation. There really isn't anything any more that is more aggravating than computer issues. We have become so dependent upon them. Continue to say daily prayers for you Jackie. 24. Bewilderingly handsome boys as always! I really like the second picture of effects ... it shows off their gorgeous ginger-ness!

  25. The first picture has s certain mood about it which is very interesting. The second picture shows off the boys a bit better. A previous poster said it best: Eric and Flynn are works of art in their own right.
I always thought it was so marvelous that , when the boys sat a certain way, the white portions of their lovely furs articulated to make the most interesting design. Wonderful in every way there is to be wonderful, they are. Loving them forever.

  28. The pictures are all so wonderpurr. But I like the first one the best. I feel sad you had computer trouble. Mom lost a lot of photos when her external drive took a suicidal leap off the table. So very very sad.

  34. Oh gosh... That middle picture... The one just above the original...

I LOVE IT! It looks like a watercolour and it is SO BEAUTIFUL. Of course, you two are such handsome subjects, it would be hard for the picture to not be beautiful, for sure. PURRS.

  36. catching up. Love all these. Oh, I know how awful losing stuff from a hard drive especially precious photos. I've lost years of cat pics. Did you lose a just a few files or a bunch?

  37. I see what you mean about the blue in the first image, but I do like the shape/style of the canvas. The second image does take a lot of beating though, and the weave filter and colours/textures sure do add so much to the boys and their surroundings
