We love and miss you as much today as we did then and that will never change.
You and your brother will always be our precious boys.
You didn't like to pose, but you should have with your handsome big old fashioned face.
We miss that lovely tummy that you always managed to keep looking so white.
We enjoyed taking you on walks around the fields so you could check out all of the strange smells.
Love you forever Eric.
For those of you who never knew Eric, you can read his tribute from 19.03.13 by clicking on his photo on the sidebar.
Has it been so long? We remember them well, so many wonderful stories about their lives out of doors, all their adventures. You were loved by many, Eric, and also, Flynn. We send comforting pawhugs to your parents, too.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it has been that long. We so miss you Eric and Flynn too but so glad that the Mom has continued to blog.

ReplyDeleteHow can that be? Gosh Jackie - thank you for sharing the time with your lovely boys. Even now the old photos still make us smile. Such cheeky boys with adventures to do every day. Best of all though were two sleepy boys perched in their flower pots. Such special memories.

The missing of them never leaves that's for sure. How I always loved the coloring of his nose furs. Made him look like a person :-) . He was certainly a character and we so miss that personality when they leave. Sending hugs and love and nose kisses,

When you said 5 years I thought no way, but I do know the way as in August it will be 5 years since Abby joined Eric at the Bridge. We never forget no matter if an hour has gone by or a decade, the silence and the emptiness is still there. I know that we all find a way to move forward, well like we had a choice, right? But we do, I still feel for myself that I can't let go of the 'missing' part. I still miss her, so deeply. But I do tell myself as each day passes that I am moving one day closer to our reunion, not in a maudlin way but in a way that I am looking forward to -- one day somewhere in the future. I am so glad that you continue to share Eric and Flynn with all of us. I love reading the stories and seeing them whenever you post. My heart goes to you with deep prayers and purrs.
ReplyDeleteI regret the five years ago, I didn't know Eric or Flynn existed but so wish I had. Sending comforting purrz today as you miss your handsome boy.

That was one of the saddest days we ever experienced. We still get teary eyed thinking about it. But we so appreciate and thank you for sharing past photos of the boys. It really means a lot to us.

Wow, five years. We know you continue to miss your sweet boy and will always. That was a terrific belly he had. However did he keep it so clean while rolling in the dirt? Sending love and prayers as you remember today. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteEric will always live in our memories, and Flynn will, too.
ReplyDeleteEric was a handsome boy. We never forget those we love. XO
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel. The end of this year will mark Skeeter's 10th OTB year. Sometimes I feel is is just out of sight in another room. And once in a while, I call Marley "Skeeter". ~ TBT
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you again, dear sweet angel Eric. You will never be far from our minds and hearts.
ReplyDeleteEric and Flynn were larger than life. That much is obvious from the pictures. I feel the sense of loss too - no new adventures, no complications of brotherhood, no new ways of showing how much they love each other and you. You do an incredible job of sharing them with us - I want to meet them so badly. Thank you for sharing your boys with us. Your pictures always add a smile to my day.
ReplyDeleteAllthough we never have met you, it feels like we have known you through the writing of your mom, dear angel Eric <3 It's good to have all the pictures and memories, miss Jackie, not that it takes away the pain though... He was a beautiful handsome boy and we have something in common, the always clean belly...MOL :D Soft Pawkisses to comfort you today <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your mom hasn't stopped blogging and is sharing your photos and memories. That way, you'll be having fun at the Bridge, but part of you stays right here close to all of us. - Tom

That was beautiful! And that was a lovely perfect description - he did have an old-fashioned face!
ReplyDeleteFive years already, yet so well remembered. Eric and his mancatly face. I recall his passing, and it still makes me sad. But they never leave us, even when they go.
ReplyDeleteI never got to know Eric, but what a great mancat he was. Glad that you have all those precious memories to cherish forever.
ReplyDelete((((( ♥ )))))
Aww, his face was so precious!
ReplyDeleteI remember both boys so strongly... and I miss them just as strongly. I am so glad that Caro came to see you before she went on back to her own home and I asked that she please please take a photo of the boy's gardens. And to tell you I love them. It was a joy to see the both of you and then the selfie with all three.
