On the 20th July 2006 I started a blog for the boys. I never dreamt I would still be updating it 12 years later. I have enjoyed taking so many photos and telling of their adventures over the years, and now I continue to share our memories with you, our friends.
The cat blogging community is a wonderful thing. You are there to share the happy times, and also to offer support in the bad times and it means a lot to us.
Thank you for sticking with us through the years.
The Friday Flashback this week comes October 2011 and is called:
A Walk in the Grass.
The horses haven't been in this field since earlier in the summer and now the grass is very thick and hard to walk through.
We find it much easier if we walk in dad's tractor wheel marks.
and on the way down we have a good nom in the grass.
After we have finished nomming, we go back home and yak up grass on the carpet.

12 years is an amazing achievement, and we're glad you kept the blog going. It seems a bit bittersweet, this blogoversary, so we're sending purrs and head butts. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhile the boys have passed away, they will never be gone. We enjoy having little pieces of them in our lives through your stories and photographs. They live forever because of it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary!!! We prefer low grass too... and we love meadows with horses... we normally do no fruits, but the horse apples are tasty ;O)))
ReplyDeleteWow, happy blogoversary! I'm glad you are still here, and we can revisit the boys regularly.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 12 years of blogging! We are so glad that you didn't stop after your boys went to the Bridge, and #1 says she is so happy to have met you in person this year!

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary! Isn't this community such a wonderful place? I have nowhere near 12 years under my belt, but even in my couple of years here, I feel like I've made so many friends. Yours was one of the first blogs I started following back when I began! I always enjoyed seeing Eric and Flynn's adventures, and I will always enjoy the memories you share of them.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are one-of-a-kind and it's been quite a fun journey to follow them. I regret not following your blog back when Eric was alive.

Hehehehe, I know what you mean about the grass and the carpet... I mean it's there to be used, right?
ReplyDeleteI love walking on the paths as around here, especially in winter, the untrodden or unrolled grass gets me too wet on the tummy floof which is an absolute no no.
We both love the jigsaw picture too, very much an african cat hunting scene....
