Before this week's flashback I want to say thank you to everyone who left a comment on my post for Cornwall Cats Protection.
There was a total of 82 comments making £41 which I have rounded up to £50 and sent to them.
Now for the Flashback - Looking for Mousies!
We have had a few dry days and some have even been sunny, so that means we can go for walks again.
We are looking for mousies, but it has been mild and wet this winter which means the grass kept growing. That means it is thick and matted underneath which makes it hard for us to get to them. It probably makes the mousies happy though.
We know they are here because we heard them squeaking.
But where are they?
Are they over there?
or over here?
Maybe when the horses have been in here and eaten the grass it will be easier for us.
They may have been in here, but it looks like the Mr. Badger got here first.
I have used the first photo for my Caturday Art this week.
I started with Beauty at 40%, followed by Abstract at 35% and finished with Sunshine also at 35%.
You can see more art by visiting Athena, the Cat Goddess.
I have also made it into a puzzle. Click on the small picture to go to Jigsaw Planet to do it.
I have also put a link in my sidebar for any puzzle addicts like me so you can click on it to see all of my puzzle albums. It is the top picture in the sidebar.

ReplyDeleteWe love seeing you angels looking for mousies in your fields. Did you really hear them squeaking? You were the greatest mouse hunters! Beautiful photo for the puzzle!
That sure was a great thing, the Cornwall Cat Protection. We love seeing you two boys when you used to hunt. We know all about the tall grass. Hope your family has a great week end.

ReplyDeleteThat was almost fun for them but they were always the best mouse hunters!
ReplyDeleteThose mousies weren't too smart squeaking like that. Made it so much easier for you to find them! Great commentathon!
ReplyDeleteOh the boys in their fields - my favorite photos of them are when they're out on patrol. Looks like they had plenty to sniff about even if they didn't FIND anything.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy and Mom too
Ooh! The gorgeous fur against the green grass. Could anything be more beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour donation was such lovely way to honor the boys.

ReplyDeleteGreat donation for the Cornwall Cat Protection place ! Pretty art, the boys were great mousies hunters. Purrs
ReplyDeleteMom just finished one of the previous puzzles. We bet Eric and Flynn really loved that mousie hunting. Too bad the badger beat them to the prize. Wonderful donation. We know Cornwall Cats Protection will be grateful. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteYour kitties hunting for mice made me think of DD#2. They recently bought their first home. Anyhow, she calls to tell me she caught a mouse. I was quick to point out Cooper was falling down on her responsibilities as the official mouse trapper. She told me the closest Cooper came to catching one is she played with it for half an hour without killing the critter and which time DD#2 had to take it away from her. So much for having a cat in the house. lol I wonder if being an indoor cat takes away this pleasure. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteThis a cute photo series and I like the photo play creating a painting like image. Also, how neat you created an online jigsaw puzzle. :)
Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend!
Interesting Caturday Art choice. Like it.
ReplyDeleteAll that orange and white and cuteness out in a green field. Love the art, too! - Tom x
ReplyDeleteI sure hope they found some eventually!
ReplyDeleteNo luck in hunting that day, I guess...
ReplyDeleteWe love this artwork of Eric and Flynn hunting. They were such great mousie hunters! Thank you for Cornwall Cats Protection - congratulations on such a successful commentathon. :)

Boys, I love seeing you in the grass almost as much as seeing you in your pots!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great donation - we are glad we commented!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your cruise next October; that area is amazing and we really hope you get to see some northern lights. Äiti visited Alta and Hammerfest about 11 years ago - and always regrets not going to Nordkapp which is the most northen point in Europe. She highly recommends Tromso too - a really beautiful city which is a real surprise in all the mountains.
What a nice donation for your shelter.
ReplyDeleteI hope they did manage to find a mousie or two...

ReplyDeleteYAY! for the shelter🎉Shall I come and help you with the mousies, Angels😸Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the boys used to have so much fun chasing mousies in the field.
ReplyDeleteYour arty pic is VERY Von Gogh isn't it * admires *
ReplyDeleteI love seeing pictures of the dogs out mousing :-)
Hunting mice seems like a fun activity for a couple of cool cats! I love your artsy photo. I'll be back to try the puzzle. I love them but I am SOOO slow. Thank you for joining the Pet Parade.
ReplyDeleteNow that art is really fun and full of the flame effect of the boys ginger fur. As to mouses, clearly you guys had the same bad luck as I due to all the rain and grass. Maybe in the summer after the horses things will be better, and drier. MOL
