Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

This week the flashback comes from March 2012.

Eric: We have had good weather for the last week and it is getting warmer every day. The forecasters have said it will last well into next week, so I am getting my easy on the shelf of our purrison cage.

It's tiring work rolling in the sun.
The cage is only a purrison when it is bolted to the garage wall when the Beans go away. The rest of the time it is left on the edge of the lawn so we can sunbathe on the shelf.

It is a very good place for relaxing.

Might as well have a quick lick while I am here.

And a yawn and stretch.

Flynn: I prefer to lie on dad's concrete blocks.

They get nice and warm in the sun.

And I like to push my feet against the garage wall.

Eric: I am glad Flynn prefers the blocks because that means I get the shelf all to myself!

I have used the last photo for my Caturday Art. I forgot to write down what I did but think I started with Tuscany at 50%,,Sunshine at 30% and finished with Landscape at 20%. I then added a drop shadow border and then gave it a narrow bevelled edge.

You can find more Caturday Art by visiting Athena the Cat Goddess.

I have also made it into a puzzle which you can do by clicking on the small picture.

  21. Who would have thought concrete blocks luxurious? But, they were to the boys, all warm and sunny. - Tom x

  23. Another very sweet flashback, and we love the Christmas theme! The boys sure look like they made wherever they were nice and comfy. The shelf looks cozy, but there's something about the sun-soaked blocks that's very enticing.

  30. Those are some great pictures! I have always wondered: how do white kitties say SO CLEAN? They must have to baff themselves like ALL the time! It's one good thing about being black--it hides the dirt pretty well, though I do get disty, MOL! XOXOXO

  35. We so enjoyed seeing you guys sunning your buns! We may stop back again in mid-winter just to feel the warmth and joy your photos provide. We don't care much for cold at our house.

  36. You guys sure do make the most of your hot spots, and you have so many too. I do like a sun bath myself, but i don't like to get too hot so end up on the sun lounger under an umbrella r under a bush trying to catch a cool breeze. Great Christmas header you have, too, so cheery and fun.
