This week the flashback is to bring a taste of Spring to all those who have had the heavy snowfalls.
It is from April 2012 and is called:
Spring Patrol.
We are on our patrols again and thought we would check out the wildflowers. These are forget-me-nots which are not really a wild flower, but they are growing wild here in the field.
We don't know what this flower is, but we think it is pretty.
We call this the "Vishus Deer Tree".
It's branches are soft and furry like the velvet on a vishus deer antlers. We don't know what it is called either or how it got here. We think a bird must have dropped a seed at some time.
We had a quick look over to where the badgers live, but didn't go over there.
Checked a few smells........
Phew! It's further to climb back up than I thought.
Then we relaxed in the sun.
Flynn: And I kept a close eye on Eric's shadow in case it jumped on me.
I am joining Athena the Cat Goddess for Caturday Art.
I used the photo with both boys. I am not really happy with it and started over three times. I think the problem is that there is not enough contrast where Flynn is and he was disappearing into the background.
I ended up using Scribble at 35% followed by Gaugin at 50% and finished with Landscape at 40%.
I decided to do another picture and this time used Starry Night from the Deep Dream Generator. At least Flynn's head didn't disappear into the background this time!
Of course there is also the puzzle.

ReplyDeletewe wait for a spring patrol too... it's icy cold today, but the first daffodil is out... shall we trust the plant or the thermometer?
ReplyDeleteSuch handsome and brave boys!
ReplyDeleteThey were very dedicated patrollers heheh!
ReplyDeleteLove the art :-)
Have an artistictastic weekend :-)
Nicely done and the boys' sniff and snoop patrol is every cat's fantasy.
ReplyDeleteWe love seeing the boys when they patrolled. We really like the second art picture. But then they are all good. You all have a fantastic day.
ReplyDeleteIt always seems funny seeing kitties outside. Our cats have to stay in the house, and we never see any out and about in our area.
ReplyDeleteLove both of the "end results" - and just for the record - those boys ALWAYS look gorgeous no matter what artsy things are done to their photos....when you're that handsome - you STAY that handsome!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Flynn was smart to watch that shadow!!! We like the artwork. We'll be back to do the puzzle.

ReplyDeletePurrs.
Ah, sweet spring and sweet kitties enjoying it. Can't wait until spring rejoins us. Although we haven't had snow, it's 50F and raining all day but then supposed to be below freezing by morning. Sigh. Crazy weather. Love the artwork! I think I actually prefer the first one. I really like the soft browns and blues. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe loved the final two photos with each of the boys enjoying the sunshine, and we like both "arty" photos, the second one being our favorite. We received your holiday greeting card today. Thanks so much for thinking of us. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to explore! The boys obviously had great adventures together. It's so nice to see :)
